Definately Judy. I met her daughter, Lorna Luft once, in London. She was here last summer with the show 'Songs My Mother Taught Me', and we went to see her at the Savoy. It was a great show and she came out to the stage door afterwards to sign things and talk to fans. My friend who I went with had met her before and we talked for a while. She was very nice.

Judy Garland or Shirley Temple... it's funny you should ask that. I was obsessed with both when I was a little girl ;D I guess I'll choose Judy.
I don't watch enough Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire movies to make a decision on that one...
In what years did Kate try to help Judy Garland?

I've seen bits and pieces of Singin' In the Rain and Summer Stock...you'd be suprised at the amount of classic movies I've never seen: Citizen Kane, Gone With the Wind, and All About Eve, just to name a few. I really have some movie watching to do!

Speaking of Miss G, after reading on this thread, I went to Cracker Barrel where I heard her version of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas playing. Perfect timing huh?

Not seen Stage Door, so I'm going to have to go with Holiday.

Holiday -- funnier, Cary Grant and Kate are great together, she's in it a lot more than Stage Door.

I would say Holiday, too. Acrobats, KatenCary, The Potters, Neddy, and a charming script! It reminded me of the private parties I used to have myself when I was a kid on New Year's Eve. All the adults upstairs while the kids in the basment. Me putting on little shows...Such good times. Woah, anyway, Holiday is my favorite of all the K/C pairings. It's just a really sweet film.

Calla lilies or Queen Anne's Lace?

I probably wouldn't be able to tell them apart if you put them in front of me, but I'm going with Queen Anne's Lace because that was Kate's real favorite.

Yeah, I'm going with calla lilies -- they've always been my favorite. Well, any kind of lily pretty much (especially the one in Adaptation!). I've never seen a QAL in person...

Queen Anne's Lace!!!! I have a field right SMACK DAB in front of my house. It seriously is huge and in it are patches and patches of QAL! I'm lucky like that. In the summer, it's just a sea of white and I used to run through it like woah "Little House On The Prarie"..okay, I still do. It makes me sad though. When I found out Kate *cough*died*cough* I ran into that field and literally just fell apart in the middle of the freaking thing...and did some other things...(second-worst day of my life )....but, I can't help just being sadhappy whenever summer comes and the QAL starts to rebud.

Definitely calla lillies - I absolutely adore them. I love all varieties of lily, probably my favourite flower.
Mrs Delafield Wants to Marry or Laura Lansing Slept Here?

Delafield -- story is better although not perfect and the character Kate portrays is quite attractive - physically and intellectually. Once again Kate is an admirable woman cutting through the restrictions others want to impose on her -- socially as well as from the perspective of religion. Harold Gould is wonderful also in the role of the man with whom she falls in love. Two strong performances.
Laura Lansing is not as well written and her co-stars aren't in her league as an actor. Plus can you really believe that Kate would have stuck it out one day with that rather hideous family? She does sort of whip them into shape but frankly, I never cared about any of those people for one second.
