I'm going to say Kate and Cary too - possibly because I've seen more of their films that I have kate and Spencer. They have a captivating chemestry and they always looked like they were having such fun together.
Tea!
Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving.
Love Gem

The only movie in which I would choose Cary and Kate over Spence and Kate would be BuB...

*Catherine dear, vous n'êtes pas un mauvais ventilateur!!! ;D Vous savez tellement Kate! ;D Avez-vous lu "The Making of The African Queen"? I suppose I am biased with the whole K/C or S/K thing. Adam's Rib was the first Kate movie I ever saw and that was back in 3rd grade. So, I really have been pairing Kate with Spence since that long ago. BUB comes close to making me change my mind, though...

OUI! J'ai lu The Making of TAQ -- j'ai oublie ce Tahili Bokumba. Il faut que je lisse encore ce livre. Tres amusant. En ce moment, je lis Knowing Kate... -- je viens de le recevoir aujourd'hui. Si tu ne l'as jamais lu, il faut que tu l'achetes!

coffee or boysenberry ice cream? ;D I've never had boysenberry -- I'd be interested to hear who has. But I LOVE coffee ice cream. Especially with fudge.

Not actually ever come across a Boysenberry - I'm guessing it's pretty much like other wild fruits of the forest type berries though. And if it tastes like a mix of blackberry & loganberry, I'd probably choose it over coffee ice-cream

Boysenberry. I don't like coffee. Never touched the stuff.
Judy Garland or Shirley Temple?

Judy Garland. Have you ever seen A Star is Born? Wow. Can you say 'robbed of the Oscar?' I only like the movies she made before the 60's, before she was beaten by life. Kate Hepburn she was not Judy was the greatest triple threat Hollywood ever saw.

My question...
Fred Astaire Or Gene Kelly?

I'm not familiar with either, but from the clips I've seen, I choose Kelly.

Gene Kelly has more sex appeal, and as weird as it is coming from a guy, he's more attractive than Fred Astaire. Although, I would have go with Astaire. I can tell he's a better dancer, but both him and Kelly are just exhilarating to watch. Shaun, are you telling me you've never seen Singin' In The Rain? An American In Paris? Summer Stock? The Pirate?... oh no... please make that a New Year's goal. I'd like to know what you think of Singin' In The Rain.

Oh, great movie lover, Richard...Get thee to a video store and rent the Garland A Star is Born. NOW boy :-) And Shaun - robbed of an Oscar is precisely what she was. She is sensational. And, does it surprise anyone that the man to pull this career topping performance from her was none other than Kate's bud George?

If I recall, she lost the Oscar to Grace Kelly for her performance in The Country Girl. It wasn't a really impressive performance, in my opinion, but she did good and I liked it. However, I'm already convinced that Garland did better. Okay Judy. It's reserved on my Netflix account. In actuality, I was waiting for it to air on TCM. Speaking of Garland, has anyone read Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland? I finished it recently although not very convinced that it's the most accurate biography written about her. I know that in the 60s her life really started to deteriorate, but as I was reading, I got the impression that maybe some of the things mentioned might just have been from the many rumors published about her during that time. Did she really hallucinate and pop pill after pill as much as the book said she did, or was there tad bit of exaggeration? Nevertheless, it was a very interesting read.

I don't think it would be possible to exaggerate the extent of Judy Garland's drug problems
