I've been wanting to make this thread ever since I joined. I think now would make the best time.
It's rather simple, really, so allow me to demonstrate.
Adam's Rib or Pat And Mike?
Somebody answers the question and then makes up their own. It's a nice game that let's us get more acquainted with each other. If you feel the need to add more to your answer, like saying why, you can.
Of course, they don't have to be Katharine related. Ask anything of any subject.

Richard! What an awesome idea!!! ;D OMG Adam's Rib all the way!!!!!!!!!! It's my favorite of all the KatenSpence movies (and in my top 5 fav movies of all time)and this is why: 1: The parts fit them like a glove. Of course they would, Ruth Gordon and Garson Kanin wrote them for 'em! 2. There are so many inside jokes in it I want to personally jump up and down because I get them. 3. 'Pinky' and 'Pinkie'? Awwwwwwww times a million. 4. "Farewell Amanda" 'Nuff said. Although, I do think the story of getting CP to do the song is quite amusing. 5. There are copious amounts of making out ( off screen )/funny looks/squealing noises/hand holding/fanny smacking to go around. ;D Yeah, Ms. Hopeless Romantic here and damn proud. 6. Kate's ring Spence gave her in'45! Closeups of it whee! 7. It's all about female empowerment and well...GO WOMEN!! ;D Okay, so here's the question...I'll be cool and stick with the movie thing...BUB or TPS?

Has anybody ever noticed in Pat and Mike and Adam's Rib - particularly A.R that there are numerous incidents where you get to see Katharine in ahem a state of undress . ie the massage scene . People speculated on another group that Kanin liked writing those sections as he did used to date our Kate

Haha! And I thought I was the only one who noticed. (yeah right) My choice: Adam's Rib For all the reasons Amber mentioned. Especially #5. lol So cute. And #7 of course. ;D Were all the "love scenes" shot off-camera because Kate didn't want to do it or because the producers didn't want to do it? I'm pretty sure there were movies more risque than that back then. Bettie Page anyone? lol Just kidding.

Oh yeah, Amber. WHY must you ask the most difficult question anyone can ask? BUB or TPS?? I just can't do it.
Chocolate or Vanilla? ;D

I can answer Amber's question. Bringing Up Baby. I just prefer it. I also would say chocolate, Catherine. I don't believe we can get as fat eating vanilla. I hate dark chocolate, by the way. I guess Kate would've hated me. Rasinets or Milk Duds? (Choose wisely)

Raisinets!
Dark chocolate is better for you. Antioxidants! Maybe that's why Kate was so healthy for so long ;D I don't think she would have hated you. She just would have given you that annoyed look as if you are completely ridiculous for not liking dark chocolate.

Oh yes, Richard, you would definitely have been banished to the island of lost toys if Katie Hep had found out. ( ) And you answered the TPS or BUB question! Rock on. Yeah, that question was really extreme, sorry 'bout that! And my answer would be: Rasinets! Just because they don't get stuck in your teeth and you're forced to make odd chewing faces all day long to get them out and have people stare at you. Not that that has ever happened to me before. Um..Fall/Winter or Spring/Summer? *I love how I'm doing this and not studying for the Psychology test I have next period.

I can relate. Last night I visited this forum about eight times instead of studying for a test I had over 'Hamlet.' But can you blame me? Kate is much more interesting than Shakespeare ;D I want to answer all the questions that have been asked so far, just because I can Adam's Rib, even though I love to see Kate playing those sports. Even though I love Kate in TPS, I'm choosing BUB. By itself, chocolate, but if we're talkin' cake or ice cream, then vanilla. Milk Duds Fall Next question: Lion in Winter or Long Days Journey Into Night

oooh, Shaun, I studied Hamlet when I did English lit for A levels and I loved it. Did you see any of the movie adaptions? I thought the Mel Gibson film was very odd, though I liked the Kenneth Brannagh version, even though it was a bit OTT at times (there was really no need to make it four hours long!). The BBC are showing modern adaptions of Shakespeare at the moment, which I'm quite enjoying. They just did the Taming of the Shrew, which is one of my favourites.
I couldn't choose between BUB and TPS - that's far too tough.
I haven't seen The Long Day's Journey, so I shall have to go with The Lion in Winter. Fantastic.
Excuse me for sounding ignorant, but what in the world are milk duds?! It sounds like washing powder!!
Love Gem

Milk duds are chocolate candy balls. I'm guessing they don't have them where you live.
I was suprised to find out when I was reading that Hamlet is 30...he seems awfully whiny for 30. I'm currently watching the Mel Gibson version of Hamlet. It's alright.

Hah! Yeah, I could tell you were on because you replied so fast to the messages! Of course, now I have proved that I was literally on here all night last night. Not my fault, though! I fell asleep at the keyboard studying for my French test and woke up at like 3:00 and...made a post! Guffaw guffaw. ;D I love you guys. And: The Lion In Winter. Not to say that I don't think LDJIN is not one of the most powerful onscreen adaptations of a stage play in the world (because it is) and that Kate didn't play the best role of her career, but there's something unsettling about it to me. I think because all 4 of them are so real during it and it's not what you'd call a "happy picture". But anyway, LIW!!!! Yeah, talk about how I cried and cried because of Kate's little wave at the end and the score and the script and Peter and the two Anthony Hs and I could go on.... And Gem, milk duds are pesky little gooey/caramel/milky things (I can describe things ) that don't taste very good and get stuck in your teeth and blah..Although, if you ask Shaun he'll tell you something else. ;D

Humphrey Bogart or Cary Grant? I also would've said "A Lion In Winter". The movie kept me awake. Needless to say, while watching "A Long Days Journey Into Night" I found myself spacing out quite a bit. I think I was tired. Yes... I was tired.
