Goodness that front lawn is green!
Wow you were able to get pretty close. Is there a fence or gate or anything? Who's that standing on the pier? And that other person on the rocks? Are they the new owners?

Nope, no gates or fences. Im not sure about the front of the house, but my dad and I walked right on the beach-we could've went right up to the back door. The people on the pier and the rocks aren't the owners, not really sure who they are-but deffinitly not the owners. I didn't think we would get so close but nothing's closed off so it's really easy to get to it.

Yea I thought that was odd that it was so open. My dad and I got the directions from the tour guide that did the Hartford tour-and he said it wouldve been closed off. But we got there with no problem and walked right up. And its SOOO nice there. I love it lol.

BUT YAY. FEN TO THE WICK.
Is it not completely INSANE that a total stranger can walk up to the house like it's their own backyard? Like, I know why that poor fisherman (was that it?) would think that Fenwick wasn't private property (despite the signs and KEEP AWAY). AND THEN HE WENT TEAR-ASSING OUTTA THERE. Because those Hepburn children like to chase people. While Spence sits and feels and looks awkward. That loveable SOB. Thanks for that story, Garson of the Elf People. (Seriously, am I alone in thinking his ears make him look like he makes toys for Santa?) But yeah, Fenwickville! It's like heaven there. Literally. That one photo by the pier has God clouds. And loverly rendering, dear. In fuschia, even. You're lucky and I hate you. But not really.
I WILL TAKE FENWICK ON, ONE FINE DAY.

There is no way you could put a fence around the whole property and any fence would look horrid. I know Mr. Schaime said he should put the Go Away sign back up as they were tired of people coming up to the house. I guess before they moved in right after they bought the place a guy and his girl came up to the house and tried to move in. The girl believed the guy when he said it was his home and did not even realize it was the Hepburn estate and cried after she found out the lie. haha!
