Nah, didn't get it. The other night I was watching Adam's Rib again and near the end when they go to the house in Connecticut, there's an exterior shot of the house and I thought it looked like Fenwick. The house was far off and it was a night shot so I can't be sure. Can some one set the record straight?

Cool Fenwickzilla photos! My friend snuck on the backyard (there's no fences, it's just open) and took a bunch o' pics of Kath's little white mobile!!! SO neato burrito.
I don't think it's Fenwick in AR haha. But it would be cool if it was. Don't think Kath would have let a movie camera even NEAR her home in the 40s.....well, besides the LIFE photos of her and her sissies. Maybe it was just an establishment cottage shot they had in stock footage. Idunno! I always used to pretend that they shot the farm scenes in George's backyard and then they had a barbeque and ate the hotdogs that Spencer put on his face lmao. I miss AR....I had to write a paper on it and golly I'm glad I know the script because I would have been SOL.

True, Kate wouldn't have liked that . My question: why weren't you on that little adventure to Fenwick?

Rub it in, sure! haha I didn't know her until it was too late to go Kath stalking . Of course, I could have gone another time to see her grave and all that jazz, but I don't think I could have handled it. Oh well, someday...

I would love to go to Fenwick someday and by seeing the pictures it looks like a beautiful place. I have seen postings of Kate's headstone which is simple and to the point of course but I would love to just go there and tell her how much she has meant to my life and my sense of being of course my fear in doing that is she would jump up out of the ground and scream at me to "Go Away !" but it would still be a neat trip to make someday !

Hi, I am new here. I did get the Town and Country and really loved what Mr. Shaime the new owner did with Fenwick. It is lovely. Not sure if Kate would like it. He redid everything, a new porch, etc. all white walls. Just beautiful. He raised the whole place too.

Thanks for the welcome. I do not have a scanner. I would love to post the pictures for you. Actually I got the mag. off Ebay. I paid 7.00 for it! I am such a Kate fan I would of been willing to pay more just to see what Fenwick looks like today.

Hi Shaun, Catherine mentioned some time ago that it was the October 2006 issue. katethegreatnet.proboards27.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1158785175&page=1#1158785175I'm pretty sure no one else has posted about this but I was looking at the magazine racks and saw "Katharine Hepburn's" in bold letters peeking out from behind another magazine so I grabbed it. . . Town & Country. The October issue. There's an article about the family that moved in and renovated it. It looks like they practically gutted it but it looks beautiful. The family said they wanted to respect the exterior and the property because they knew Kate valued the views... so they didn't change the outside (except maybe a veranda/patio type thing that I hadn't noticed before but I've never really seen any pictures this close-up). So that's cool. . . but with the inside they described it as having no real quality work done -- linoleum tiling and plywood walls, no detailing. Peg and Bob actually showed up one day when they were barbecuing. The Sciames (the family) gave them a tour and the Hepburns said "If only Dad would have seen this -- he always wanted to lift the house." (They had to lift it again even after it was lifted three feet after the hurricane.) Anyway, a nice little article... Good to know the family is respecting its history.

Thanks for replying with the mag date dreamer. I thought of taking pics with my digital and seeing if I could post them but I always get a huge light flash in the middle of the pictures.
