*Philadelphia Story (ah, a radio, some champagne, and a dance around a decorative pool) * Bringing Up Baby (really, before she loses the back of her evening dress .. isn't there at least a moment of dance/swaying? ..) * Morning Glory (at the producer's cocktail party ... again some dance/swaying?) hmm... this simple question makes me want to pop some DVDs in this morning ... ... And...in no particular order Little Women, Summertime, Song of Love, Quality Street, Bill of Divorcement, Desk Set, Holiday, Without Love...

She's at the dance. She wants to dance. She sits with a boy for a few moments. Does she dance with Fred MacMurray??? Or does she dance with her brother at one point?

Yeah Sherry, She does dance with the brother. And I think she dances with the stocky guy with the icky sister and overbearing mother. Gosh I love Alice Adams. I should watch it now.
Actually two funny things unrelated to this thread: (actually, probably none of you will find either of them even mildly amusing...I think I have an odd sense of humor)
First: I was talking to a friend online, and this was part of the conversation... Me: Damn. Them: Indeed. Me: Don't say that Them: Why? Me: How DARE you!? Them: What? Me: I don't think you even comprehend the level of "damn" I'm feeling right now.
For some reason this amused me.
Second: In the kids section of the TV guide here there was a joke. And I read it aloud to mother, and I read it as Kate would - it seemed hilarious in that instance....
Why wouldn't the piglets listen to their father? Because he was such an old boar!
Oh! How I laffed!

OH!
OOOOOH!
And remember in The African Queen when they get past the German's at Shona he turns to her and says
Hump: WE MADE IT!
Kate: HIP HIP HOORAY!
Hump: Oh we sure put one over on 'em that time...
anyway, as they say this...don't they sort of dance around in a circle? Or did I just want to believe that they did?

On Golden Pond (the Jane Fonda character comes upon her singing and doing a little dance in the woods obviously something Ethel had done in her childhood possibly at summer camp) That is one of my fav scenes - the summer camp dance ;D As I saw Harold and Maude recently - Maude did a similar dance.
