Could they have picked a sadder song? It was nice of TCM to save Kate for last....no words.
I find it very strange that I didn't hear about Hepburn's passing for several months. I mean, when John Ritter died or Buddy Ebsen, Johnny Cash, or Bob Hope died I heard about it immediately...sigh. Amber, I think you've successfully depressed everyone on this board.

O.M.G. Sweet Mother Of Pearl. I finally found it. I am sort of sorry that I discovered it, but nontheless a part of me feels that it has some closure now hehe. just click it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTHl9a877noand have a box o' tissues handy. I think the purpose of these stinkin' TCM Remembers are to make us cry our eyes out in between films. And 2003 HAD to be the worst one--and by that I mean the one that will make you want to barf up your left lung because it's so sad and beautiful simulataneously. As you all know, TCM does this type of In Memoriam film every year, but I really do think that the one they did in 03 was the most artfully and well put together one in terms of the types of images they chose - some from films, some on the set, some headshots - and in terms of the McLachlin music and candle images interspersed. And, of course, in terms of the images of Kate. The way they stopped the music to hear her speak and the final image in the mirror from LIW. In a very subtle way they noted that a true legend had passed. The ones they've done in subsequent years have been moving - after all, how can one not be moved to see the passing of people who have entertained us our whole lives - but to my mind none has surpassed the 2003 film in beauty. I didn't like the 2005 tribute. I didn't "get" it.

Is it difficult to put material on You Tube ? What format do you have the material in - an electronic file??

Do you have video editting software on your computer? I use Pinnacle Studio Version 9. It isn't the greatest but it gets the job done. As for the format type, I assume you can post any video you have on your computer, but I've only posted .mpg files. Posting on YouTube is the easiest step, though the uploading process can take quite a long time if the size of the file is large.

Just found this one on You Tube www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-roGMGyFu0An artist want's to sing Je t'aime and the fans are singing it for her instead. Incredible and very touching. Just look at her expresion. Think this must be the most beautiful thing to experince for an artist - Just wanted to share. Must be a dream the very few experince. PS Forgot to say why I posted it - it made me think of the experince Kate had one of the last evenings (if not the last) as she played Coco and the audience screamed: "We love you" and she realized that they really loved her and responded: "and I love you."

Thanks for the Applause clip. I know that unlike Coco, Applause was recorded and available for, I think, television. Has anyone ever seen the whole show?

Since you saw Applause, were you able to catch Coco as well? Yep. Saw Kate in 3 of her B'way shows: Coco, A Matter of Gravity and West Side Waltz. Only saw Coco once, but saw Gravity and WSW many times. Even got my sister to go with me once to West Side Waltz. She's not a fan. Of anyone's really. When we left the theatre she said...."Now I see what you've been talking about...."

Kate looked like she was enjoying herself at that dinner didn't she? It looked like they were arranged in alphabetical order didn't they? Spencer was sitting in the row behind Kate, a couple of seats to her right, so she could have turned around so they could gab. Or mack, whatever. By the way wo was narrating? Sounded like Kathleen Turner to me.
