Wanted to ask what do you think of the new category "others"?
Thought it would be easier to keep non-related Kate topics separated from the general board and easier to keep them alive.
Or is the idea bad?

i'm all for sorting and organizing .. again, having been through this on another board (and i was the one sifting through all the threads to get some order) .. its a good thing in my mind .. this reorganization you're doing here dreamer. carry on!  |

I'm for it. Believe or not, I had the same idea many, many months ago but didn't know how to go about mentioning it. I always thought it was too rude even to suggest, or, even worse, the only one who cared for any kind of reorganization. Nice to know I was wrong. Good job dreamer.

Thanks for your support guys ;D Believe me or not - it had bugged me some time too - and only recently found out that I actually had rights to do so. What has "annoyed"  me - if that is the right word - has been. I see a new thread - think WOW something new and interesting - and then it sometimes happens - it is about someone that I don't particular like or have no interest in. I believe the lines are more clearer now - and with room for everyone ;D Meaning where to post what  Is it about Kate or someone else |

Do you think we can have a new category for artistic tributes like video's, fan-fictions, photo-shop, wallpapers, etc... Just asking I have been talking with a great Kate fan who wrote amazing Kate fanfic for a yahoo group and I'm trying to see if she would join our board and if she would post some of them here... |

I think there's enough fiction out there about Katharine Hepburn. Don't misunderstand me, I am not criticizing nor am I in favor of censoring anything, but I think that if people want to share these stories they should do so privately. Some of them get pretty fanciful and some go over the top. This is a relatively public board and I think these things should remain private. Judy |

Summin' about Kate fanfic gives me the serious wig. That is to say, I am not really a fan. Ew.
I realize that as the board grows in size, so should the varying facets of fandom accommodated on here, but that's just my opinion.

Just to add my three words:
The line between fiction and non-fiction is so thin - it is to easy to cross the line. There is nothing wrong with having fantasies nor writing them down. But the public thing is to much. And even if the thread would be made private/non-public - the board is in my opinion to large.
This board has a good name and is often refereed to when speaking about Kate. My concern is - with fan fiction - the danger of not being so is there. The good reputation would be - to use a Kate film phrase - "down the drain".
Any thoughts on that?!
