Well, doesn't this beat all? He was on Letterman and The View this past week; I DVR'd both of them. He was funny and typically Tooley O'Pete on both - which is to say he was wonderful - but there was NO talk about Kate. I was hoping there would be. But nothing. And now I find out he did The Daily Show. And THAT one I did not see or tape. And THERE he talks about Kate. Not only talks about her but says some terrific, wonderful, sweet things. So thank you, thank you webmaster for capturing the video....I wonder if they will repeat the show over the weekend. I'd love to have it recorded on DVD. I actually didn't find it awkward.....But that's cause I've seen his other recent interviews. At first - because of his sort of blank stare and deliberateness - you think he doesn't quite get what's been said. But then you realize that is just his nature and he absolutely knows what's going on and is quite witty and good natured about it all. "Old. Yes. But the memories are still there. Clear and intact. And they'll be there if he lives to be 100." Hmmm...I seem to remember another old actor guy mouthing those words to that effect in a movie with Kate.... :-) O'Toole is sensational... Did I say thank you? THANK YOU! :-) JUDY

I just realized that an audio setting was incorrect, so the sound on the video file is a bit "tinny" - I will try to re-do and re-post it tomorrow.
As far as re-runs go, in my neck of the woods two different episodes of The Daily Show are always repeated the following weekend. Today it was Mike Huckabee, and tomorrow it could well be O'Toole. So it's worth checking your local listings.
