For any Audrey Hepburn fans (i confess im a huge one; though not half as big as i am of Kate) you might know today was her birthday. She would have been 79. I love Audreys movies; but I aslo love her as a person. She was so kind and had a good heart; and she was deeply involved in UNICEF and really did everything she could to help people less fortunate than her.. and i probably sound so corny right now but whatever ..anyway happy birthday Audrey

thanks for the reminder hep I didnt know that though I have liked Audrey for quite some time especially of course My Fair Lady which I will confess is the only Audrey movie I have ever seen though I have read about Breakfast at Tiffany's and Ive also heard The Children's Hour that she did with Shirley Maclaine was great too. Are there any others anyone can think of they would reccommend ?

Please appreciate the hilarity in the fact that *I* am the one suggesting Audrey movies.
Here you are: Charade [Hitchcockean and Cary!] Two For The Road Breakfast at Tiffany's, I guess. I hate that movie, but usually people into Audrey list it as their favorite. The Children's Hour, yes. It's mild attempt at being controversial is sort of hit or miss. I love Shirley, though. Did you know she was originally the one offered the part of Holly in BAT, but she opted to do Two Loves [tanked at the box office] 'stead? Wait Until Dark Sabrina Roman Holiday
Yeah, I admit it. I've seen most of 'em, man. That was MANY, MANY, MANY moons ago.

I LOVE Wait Until Dark, Audrey is amazing. I love her. I'd have to say my favorite Audrey movie is Sabrina. Not sure why, I just love when she enters the party with that GORGEOUS dress! GAH. I'd always wanted something like that dress and I actually found something sort of similar! I wore it to my senior prom last year haha. I found black gloves to go with it too. I wanted to go for the Sabrina Fairchild look haha. Here's a pic: Doesn't look EXACTLY like the dress but sort of resembles the patterns.
