I am getting so very frustrated with my job search. I fully understand that our economy here in the US stinks beyound high heaven and I am doing my best to hang in there keep my chin up and so forth and thank goodness for my trove of Kate movies to keep me a-goin'. I go on interviews, generally kiss all kinds of corporate behind and don't seem to get anyplace beyound the usual "dont call us we'll call you" kind of response. I know a lot of companies are hurting but consumers are hurting too and I am doing my best to hold body soul and mind together. Thankfully I have a supportive husband and god bless him but still at times it gets really hard and I just wanted to vent a bit to someone or a few someones who isnt my husband or family. thanks everyone ! Now I can climb back on the horse and hold on tight !

I totally agree!!! I can't find a job anywhere and it's making me SO ANGRY. I've gone everywhere and no one is hiring. I'm getting worried because I need money for college... Good thing my parents are really supportive, but right now I don't have a cent to my name I've been really depressed about it... This economy is awful. And gas these days, I can't afford to go anywhere. Without a job I can't... This summer has been pretty sucky so far. Hope the economy gets better soon. Good luck with your job search lioness, I'm right here with you!

Thanks I know all too well I am not the only one in this boat but there are those moments when I feel like I am in a river trying to swim upstream and no matter how much I hang on I am still gasiping for air. You are so right about gas too ! Here it is just under $4 a gallon so on top of worrying about getting a job I have to worry about finding money to go find a job. What aggrevates me also is I go out of my way to write kiss behind cover letters I make sure everything and anything is on target with my resume I show up early for the interviews and ask intelligent questions and more often than not get a "dont call us well call you" attititude or no reponse at all. I understand I am dealing with big companies but courtesy goes a long way just as it does when you are the one being interviewed. WIth today's technology it takes 2 mins on average to type an email that says "we dont want you you stink !" I guess I seem to be expecting too much but to my mind coutesy is a two way street even with job interviews or maybe I am just a bit too old fashioned lol Thanks for the empathy ! good luck to you too

Hoorah ! I finally have a new job ! Barring the results of a drug screen and a backround check I will start next Monday 6-16. I will be working a quasi 2nd shift post and working M-F. On the other end of things though with what I will be making per hour and with just basic expenses I will have to pick up a 2nd job to help completely pay off my credit card debt and even help with some degree with just my monthly expenses like my cell ph payment and water bill. Just par for the course considering how bad the economy is nowadays. Thankfully my job is not all that far distance wise that helps with gas being so outrageous ! Thanks for all the chin up and positive thoughts to everyone on the board ! here's to the new job !
