Unfortunately no, but I take it you're one of the lucky ones? Did you do the KH tour, or just visit various landmarks yourself?
And have you, or any other posters been to Old Saybrook / Fenwick?
To those of you who are familiar with all Kate's dwelling places, which is the best to sense her presence - Hollywood, New York, Hartford or OS ?

I have been to Hartford twice and visited there in February 2005 . The gravesite is really moving - in the entire cemetery the grave sticks out . Its a simple black rock which apparently was brought from Fenwick and was Tom's favourite climbing stone .
The names of the various family members are simply inscribed on the bottom of the grave and Katharine is next to Tom . There is a beautiful couple of trees nearby - yew I think and the whole setup is the essence of simplicity and very beautiful .

Have been to Hartford numerous times over many years and always visited a Kate-related site. Most recent was last year to revisit all of the sites plus her grave.
Have visited OS many times too over the years -- again last May. Plus NY and LA. The best sense of Kate is at OS. She was New England through and through and her family home there at Fenwick is just simply -- her and regardless of who ever owns it now and in the future -- it will always be Kate's. Kate said once that if she died and were buried in CA, she knew her bones would pick themselves up and go back to New England. It was part of her and she was part of it and it is totally fitting that her ashes rest in Cedar Hill in Hartford not far as the crows flies from the place where she was born in the city.
The house in NY is special, too, because it was the base of her professional and city life -- but OS was "home" -- family -- roots -- the place where she could escape and be Kathy -- daughter, sister, aunt -- townsperson. A place where she could go into bookstores and shops and not be accosted by the townspeople because they respected her privacy and understood her need to maintain it.
