www.whitelotusalpacas.com/kateLaurenPkg.htmlKate and Lauren Kate is a blue ribbon winner at AlpacaPalooza, halter 2005. Her extremely dense fleece still shows very nice crimp at 4 years. She has heavy bone and is a good sized girl. She has 'The Look' and the bloodlines to back it up! Her pedigree includes Serono, Guellermo, Yupanqui, and Demetrio as her great-grandsires. Kate's daughter, Lauren Bacall, is half sister to multiple blue ribbon winner WM Terra, now at Delphi Alpacas. Their sire is King Solomon's Topaz, Peruvian King Solomon son. Lauren has the same friendly but calm personality as Terra, and we feel that Lauren will equal Terra (and Kate) in her size, fleece character, and value as a solid foundation dam. Both girls have very solid builds. This package includes one breeding to any sire at White Lotus for each girl. Buy now and choose their service sires! You can lock in additional breedings to any White Lotus or Woodland Meadows owned herdsire, for only $1000 each. Kate and Lauren are owned by my daughter who is moving on to a new stage in her life and would like to sell her last two alpacas. I'll be very sorry to see them go, and hope that they'll go to a farm where they get individualized attention and where their personalities will be appreciated.

dear judy, you get crickets. ::chirp chirp:: one love, katie and amb just jokes! i must say those alpacas are nice, but they spit on people as a rule. i don't know what would possess a person to name their alpacas after silver screen legends, but maybe said person did it on a dare? perhaps someone told him, "name your alpaca after katharine hepburn or else i will de-pants you in the middle of a public domain." and the person had no choice. if kate were an aminal she would not be an alpaca, though. she would be a red-and-white-striped zebra, like the "fruit stripe" gum: i82.photobucket.com/albums/j253/craftymo2006/fruit_stripe.jpgor, ya know, something else really awkward-looking. like a dodo bird--with its head in the sand--and yes, i am aware ostriches do that. and as for one miss betty (i'm sorry, but i can't call that woman "lauren" in casual conversation) bacall? she would be a komodo dragon. sleepytime!

Dear K & A - Thanks for the crickets...I think...Is that good or bad? ....You kids with your chat-group lingo....I've always wondered if the spittin' angry Kate story was true. Some say she spit AT Joe Mank - which I completely do not believe. Some say she spit on the floor - which I kinda do. But the operative word here is "spit." Following my logic, then, would it not be beyond the realm of the imagination to name one's hacking alpaca after an expectorating actress? ;D I think the animal's owner just thought that tuft of hair resembled Miss H's do. As for BB and the komodo dragon....Yah. I see it. J

it's not modern kid lingo!!! you know "the crickets"! when someone makes a bad joke, and it's a real, honest-to-goodness clunker, the sounds of crickets chirping in the background plays. it happens to katie and i with an annoying frequency (on here, other places), so we revel in the chance to return the favor.
also, do you think that spitting story is well-known enough to reach a bunch of alpaca owners in the middle of nowhere? i'm not saying if you own an alpaca then you can't be a kate fan---far from it. i myself would love to ride an alpaca and subsequently go inside to watch AR. if they DO know that story, then yeah....i can see it.
(i agree; it was probably the floppy alpaca hair that reminded them of kate. and she needed a chum, so "lauren" was named.)
glad we sorted this out! ;-)

I used to have two small plants - succulent/cactussy things. One stood upright, like a little tree and sprouted at the top and the other was low to the ground and chunky and flowed over the small pot. Guess what I called them?

you're not going to tell us you named them after spencer and gar, are you? old flannel and jasper!
katie's vote is for popeye and olive oyl.
(i just named my koala webkinz after garson "jasper" kanin; they have the same ears.)
