Since there are DVD boxes of most of the big stars of Hollywood I assumed there must be some big one with Kate too. I mean there's one with Greta Garbo with I think eight or nine movies, plus several of her silentmovies. Now that do I call a DVD box and there really should be one with Kate Hepburn movies as well! I saw you talked about some on another thread, but how many kinds are there really? And what do they contain and maybe most important wherever can I find them (in Europe or where they ship to Europe)? I just want to sort out this DVD box problem I'm having, so I finnally can go buy one (or some). I'm sick of only seeing several of her movies, I want to see them all! Any help would be appreciated!

There's a Tracy/Hepburn collection but there isn't one with just Katharine Hepburn movies, but I believe there is one in the UK. It's insulting, I mean Garbo gets one with about a dozen movies, Crawford and Davis--volume 2 of the Davis collection is about to come out--the other Hepburn, Cary Grant, John Wayne...a Kate dvd collection is waaaay overdue. And when one comes out I don't want them to recycle dvds--I don't want to see The Philadelphia Story, BUB, and Adam's Rib in a set...I demand brand new releases. Holiday and the African Queen are a must. And maybe Keeper of the Flame and State of the Union. Who do we write to to ask for a Kate Hepburn collection?

HM...I was thinking how strange that was.. to walk into Media Play/any video store and see all of these others stars' DVD boxsets and no sign of Kath. Who's #1 people?!?! It doesn't take rocket science to figure out that maybe Americans might want to see their best actress get a boxset. And I agree with you, Shaun. Let's see some less appreciated, but just as good films in there. Perhaps SOTU and what about Without Love? The only option that I can think of is TCM. Either via online or letters. I've already sent a few requests.

Yes, we have one in the UK. It's a nice package, and includes:
State of the Union Guess Who's Coming to Dinner Suddenly Last Summer Bringing Up Baby Rooster Cogburn Holiday
I don't have it because I have them all except for State of the Union, which is coming out next month here.

Do you know which address I can send to? Oh, that boxset you mentioned Gem, we do have her in sweden as well, but I guess I want to see another box with other movies... I've seen four of 'em so I can't decide whether those other two are worth it or not... ahh, I don't know, I guess I just want to se a box full with movies I've nver seen (which is many, since it's hard to find them here in sweden) so I don't have to search them seperately... Well, thanks anyway.

I know what you mean. Speaking of boxed sets, I was shopping in the capital yesterday and came across the Spencer Tracy boxed set - the same one as the Tracy and Hepburn boxed set in the black packaging. Anyway, I noticed it has a picture of Spence and Kate on the front and a picture of them both from Adam's Rib on the back, even though there is no Spence and Kate film in the package. Just thought that was a bit odd! Lovely picture though.

That's what I've been hoping for. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll buy the rights to the AQ and State of the Union and all of the others.

Warners could well be waiting for Kate's centennial in 2007 to release a box set in the U.S., as they did with Garbo last year. You do have a realy good point there! I too keeping my fingers crossed and will be eagerly hoping and waiting. I guess I'll survive anotther year...*sigh*

-Restored version of The African Queen with commentary and interviews with Lauren Bacall -Holiday with lots of goodies -State of the Union -Keeper of the Flame -Song of Love (for Amber) -Morning Glory -Extras:commentaries for all, Women in Defense & American Creed
and a separate set that includes her tv stuff: -Love Among the Ruins -Mrs. Delafield Wants to Marry -Laura Lansing Slept Here -The Glass Menagerie -The Man Upstairs -This Can't Be Love -One Christmas -The Corn is Green
Anybody got, oh say, 150 bucks to spend ;D

Oh Shaun!!! Those are such good box sets! (Yah, you know I can't get enough Song of Love ;D ) Commentaries for all! Even for Morning Glory, if it's just some crazed fan that goes every .05 seconds, "OMG I LOVE KH!" Oh, and then there's Undercurrent, musn't forget that one. And I wish they had put in the original ending to WOTY in the T&H box set. People, people.. at least there's the script to it.
And her television shows are a really great idea too! OOoo I need moolah.
