Yeah, me too. Can't believe I've never been to the States. Or even worse, that I've still not been to Italy. My new mantra, I must visit NY, Connecticut, Venice & Florence whilst I'm still on this earth

I'm British, but have lived in the Middle East for the past 12 years. I've travelled to quite a few European countries but there's still a lot of the world I'd like to see.................

My new mantra, I must visit NY, Connecticut, Venice & Florence whilst I'm still on this earth Same with me Karina! I'd love to go to Venice more than any other place in the world. Very very very distant cousins of mine live in Naples, too...so maybe I could bum a stay with them! I'm really hoping that I may be able to go to the KH Cultural Arts Center within the next two years. More likely than not I will, but until then it's private birthday parties for Kath with my stuffed animals haha..... and you all think I'm joking.

Man! If only I had planned my trip sooner. . . How long does it take to drive from NYC to Old Saybrook? I'm thinking I won't have time but I really really want to go. Turtle Bay will probably be as far as I'll get. . . but that's okay.
PS Knowing you Amber, I'm pretty sure we all know you're not joking ;D That's okay, maybe I'll make Kate brownies again. Definitely have to make room for a Kate movie or two. Only 3 more days!

Hi, Karina: Sorry for not responding sooner...I missed this message....No. I'm not going to go to the party in OS...Doesn't work out for me this time. But I am going to be at the Turtle Bay festivities this weekend. Very low-key neighborhood thing. The pres of the TBA says a few nice words about Kate and they serve coffee and cake to celebrate her b'day. And they have a musician playing and they set up chairs for people to sit and talk, and all the older people in the neighborhood come out and dance. It's held right outside the KH Garden. Wish they'd find a way to show a film, as they are going to do in Old Saybrook, but whatever. It's fun to get together with strangers and talk about Kate. Judy PS Catherine - Old Saybrook is about a 2 hour drive from NYC.

I wish I could go that would be so cool. But since Kath and my mom have the same birthday I'm busy celebrating my mom's during the day, but then I can watch some Kate movies and party with cake and icecream. Maybe sometime in the near future I'll get to go. That'd be neat.
