Just discovered it online-couldn't find it to buy though. Has anyone ever heard of it? or read it? SO gonna look everywhere for it now lol. It's been out of print for ages. Not a lot of copies were printed in the first place. I'd seen it in a library in CT and had been looking for a copy since 1976 - before most of you were born - with no luck. I even wrote to Marion Grant at the time and she sent back a nice letter saying that they were out of print and suggesting some of her other historical books on the area.....Then last year, a friend, who knew I'd been searching for more than half my life for it, found a copy and gave it to me as a birthday present.....Good luck on your search. Hope it doesn't take you 31 years like it did me The book is broken down into sections on the various families who first came to the place and on their cottages. And yes, there is a section on the Hepburn cottage as well. By the way, there's a second volume that is a much slimmer work that follows some of the families that populated the area in more recent times.
