At the link below there is a thread where people can vote for the greatest actresses of all time. I know we don't need to see her name at the top of some internet message board to prove she's the greatest and it certainly isn't going to hurt or help her legacy. But it's all in the name of fun and it would be great to see her name in the number one slot! It irks me to see Julianne Moore above Kate! www.imdb.com/board/bd0000005/flat/23230427?d=23230427

Um, not sure about this - it just looks like a series of lists of names, with Katharine's often mispelt - how can people vote for her in any position if they can't even spell her name?
Can't imagine Katharine herself participating in this sort of "fun". Besides, all of us here already know she's number one:)

I couldn't agree more. I kind of regret making the thread now (vote Kate to#1)...ah well.

While I agree, you shouldn't regret it It's just for fun... and yeah, whenever someone spells her name incorrectly, you know they can't be an actual "fan." lol Our local newspaper had an article about a production of The Lion in Winter, which was being done at our performing arts center, and they mentioned Kate in the film adaptation and then spelled her name with an "e." I actually emailed the writer and said something like "What kind of newspaper spells one of the most legendary movie star's name wrong?" lol I hate our paper though. They always have typos...

Catherine:
Check out the title credits for STATE OF THE UNION.
Yep. "E"
Also, when LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT came out in a two-video set YEARS ago, I of course bought it. Still have it. Nice photo on the cover with the actors' names.
Yep. "E"
I like what she wrote in a letter once to someone - it may have been Stanley Kramer's daughter, who was named for her. She (the daughter) had received a letter mispelling her name and Kate wrote something like, don't get all bothered about the e. You'll get it your whole life.
