When I went on the tour in Hartford, the guide had the whole Will, he started showing it to me, and then he asked me if i wanted a copy of it.. he sent me the first page but i feel so guilty that i have it.

i guess as i've had a background working in courts of law ... and have worked with birth and death records as a researcher ... i don't find having these documents posted such a violation. in this country these are generally public information. all one would have to do is ask at the court house or in some cases look online at the court's database. the difference i suppose is in making these particular documents readily available to the general searcher. but honestly, these documents (birth certificates, death certificates, and file formal wills) are essentially public documents in this country.
