I was you wondering the other day, what was Kate's parents and siblings professions? I know her father was a doctor and her mother was educated and a suffragette and such, but did she have a pofession? And what about her sibling? I know I've read it somewhere, but my memory is failing me...

Katharine's brother Bob became a urologist - Peg became a Librarian . Richard was a playwright and writer . Kit Hepburn didn't get paid for her work but she worked very hard in a voluntary capacity and at one stage was asked to run for the United States Senate

I also think Marion was a dairy farmer/something to do with a farm. Or her husband was. Or both.

And of course her niece Katharine Houghton is an actress and her great-nephew Mundy is an artist/sculptor. Anyone know what any other 2nd/3rd generation Hepburns are doing?

Kate's great-niece Schuyler Grant is an actress. She was in The Anne of Green Gables trilogy.
*something funny.. I was flipping through my College ENG Drama book and found a photo of SG in a production of The Importance of Being Earnest! I squeaked in the middle of the class! Bwha.

Schuyler Grant was also in Laura Lansing... I'm assuming the teenager? Looks nothing like the Hepburns! Kate was supposed to be in Anne of Green Gables as well but she recommended her great-niece... obviously not for the same part ;D

Kate was supposed to be in Anne of Green Gables as well but she recommended her great-niece... obviously not for the same part ;D Kate was supposed to play Marilla (she turned the role down) the role that Colleen Dewhurst had, which I believe Dewhurst was perfect in - sorry to say - not sure to see Kate as Marilla - but remembering The Corn is Green - anyway would have loved one more film or even a series with her. As to Schuyler Grant - she played the teenager part Annette in Laura Lansing. Kate had suggested she should play Anne Shirley in "Anne of Green Gables" - she ended up in the role as Diana Barry. uuhhh my spelling had to edit
