Who do you think had the most influence on Kate - her mother or her father? I think a lot of her ideas & opinions came from her mother, but her father's approval was of utmost importance to her - hence the constant striving to be the best in everything she did.

I think they both had an equal influence but Bob Hepburn said that Katharine's personality was more a reflection of Dr. Hepburn .

I would agree that they both had equal and enormous influence. I think Kate herself would probably say she took after her father more, and while she had great admiration for HIM, I think that her admiration for her mother was through the stratosphere. Whenever she spoke or wrote about her it was with a kind of reverence for her as a human being. For her father, too, but I just get the feeling that she respected her mother's intelligence and ability in a unique way.

Kath has said herself that her parents were a great influence on her life. But I can't really say which one had a greater influence, they both had totally different things to do with her developement as a person.
