UNDERCURRENT is being shown on October 4 at 7pm. I just purchased a ticket (as well as one to THE BANDWAGON later this week ... love that movie) ...

Minnelli and Hepburn noir on the big screen. I'm in!

[and if I hadn't just seen all the Garland films on the the big screen at the Walter Reade at Lincoln Center this summer I'd be in line for THE CLOCK and MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS too ..

A while ago they showed The Philadelphia Story in one of the cinemas here. Unfortunately I couldn't go and I'm still waiting until they show one of Kate's films again. After all, they were intended for the big screen.

It's been quiet on here for quite a while. I guess everyone's waiting for the James Curtis book? I have mine pre-ordered already... ;D

I was there last night to see Kate in her fearful spousal beauty, Robert Mitchum in his sultry smokey leather coatedness, and the creepy Robert Taylor -- who I can only think of as a HUAC-era name namer and general skunk ... fortunately that perception translates well for this character. Rock. Horse. Done.

I usually feature theatre blather here but when the movies come in beautiful orchestrated bites as they did this summer with the Garland festival at the Walter Reade and now with Minnelli as BAM ... such riches .. I blather on about them too.
