Of all the actresses that Kate never made a picture with, who would you have most liked to have seen her star with? Bette Davis? Vivien Leigh? Judy Garland? Joan Crawford? Barbara Stanwyck? Audrey Hepburn? For me it would have to be either Davis, Leigh, or Garland.

I'm not that familiar with actresses of the early movies, so from those you mentioned I only know about Liegh. And, sure that would be intersting to see. From other actresses that i know about I would like to see her star with Ingrid Bergman or Greta Garbo.

What about a bit of ensemble casting with Bette, Dietrich & Garbo? Imagine them in a sort of 1940s Witches of Eastwick with the twist that any of the 4 could have played the Jack Nicholson role: Kate - domineering the other 3 a la Violet Venable Bette - ensnaring them in a mad/evil role - a la Regina Giddons cum Baby Jane Garbo - enticing them a la Mata Hari Dietrich - seducing them in Blonde Venus mode

I cant stand Audrey Hepburn. Talentless hack.
I did love that Witches Of Eastwick idea. But mine would be somewhat differently cast....
Kate, the demure, strong, smart, wise cracking leader. Rita Hayworth, the sexy, but slightly "let the sailors cop a feel" type, gullable, and way too trusting. and Vivien Leigh as the troubled, slightly unstable, and fragile one.
And as the devil...only one person is suitable... Vincent Price. Or, just, Jack Nicholson. But he wouldn't have been able to do it at the time those women would have. So Vincent Price.
And does anyone remember that woman in Witches Of Eastwick called Felicia? Who goes insane, and all weird? That could have been Bette Davis.
Good god. this would have been fantastic.

For me, Garland and Audrey Hepburn. Maybe even Becall. I can't believe I spelled Bacall with an "e".
