Hi everyone,
If someone could help direct me in figuring out how to add a avatar and the nice signature photo's I see "everyone" using, I sure would be grateful. Do I upload pictures at photobucket first? I am having a hard time figuring how to copy the url or whatever it takes to copy the images.
This is such a wonderful Kate sight. It's the best on the internet!!

HEY!
Yawp, try uploading your icon -- 100 x 100 -- to The Bucket O' Photos (or TinyPic), and then copy&paste the URL into the proper space under your profile modification.
Because you have a fancy Mac, I'm unsure if the coding is different or not, but in order to upload a signature, paste [ IMG ] your chosen image's URL [ / IMG ]. Obviously, without the spaces.

Thank you so much Hepcat. It worked. You would think I should be able to do the avatar the same way but it is NOT working for me. I have tried 5 times. dang it! Buggin' me. any thoughts?

No pain of any variety. Well, with the avatar/icon business, you need only to put the image's URL into the space. No [ IMG ] tags, no quotations. Just the straight dope, at they say. Thus, my ancient avatar URL would look like this: i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg248/hollywoodhepcat/upicon.pngAnd so that is what I pasted into the thingy. You can doooo it! |
