Did anyone watch them? As always, the last half was boring... perhaps because I can't sit in front of a TV for more than 2 hours without wanting to chew the side of my face off. Anyway, the greatest performance (next to, of course, Madonna's) was Linkin Park singing "Yesterday" with Paul McCartney. How amazing was that? So cool. With the exception of Jay-Z not shutting up so they could sing it. OH! And I think it's a complete conspiracy that Kelly Clarkson beat Sheryl Crow, Gwen Stefani and Fiona Apple TWICE -- and Paul McCartney! (female pop vocal and pop album?). I pretty much lost all respect for The Grammys after I witnessed that.

? Kelly Clarkson!! ?? <--- my reaction. I really wasn't watching them last night. Reading Lysistrata, which is seriously the best greek dramedy I have ever read. Omg, I can see Kate getting cast in the lead. Saying things like, "You want your balls chewed off?" ROFL Sorry I just rambled that off, but school owns my life right now. But anyway, yeah, I gave up on the Grammys many moons ago. I don't even like most of the music that gets nominated anyways.

LOL Well after watching them for something like three hours last night, I wish I had been doing something more productive like reading! Award shows are my guilty pleasure. I have to watch them. It's like a compulsive thing. The focus is entirely on pop/rap (the televised part anyway) so it's pretty much MTV in a tux (or if you're younger than 30, something you might like to think is dressing up but is really just a tux that is too big/small and a "vintage" t-shirt underneath. The guys are so lazy with their appearance! Unless you're Green Day. Then it's excused.)
