Hi Guys
Katharine had a long and distinguised career - which roles were turning points where you saw something new . Its not a great film but Christopher Strong . In that film you see Katharine as a modern woman - not that she wasn't that in Bill of Divorcement but there is something really different between the two films in Katharine's persona . Maybe its the moth costume - I jest . She is a much more feminist character in Christopher Strong

I'm dying to see Christopher Strong. Long Day's Journey into Night has to be one of them. It's the first movie I saw where I was just entranced by her acting. The first time I wasn't only enthralled with her spirit (not that the acting and movies weren't entralling....) -- I gained a whole new respect for her acting. The movie itself isn't up there with my favorites but I watch it for that alone. She knew her stuff.

Christopher Strong is very dated and not a great movie but for its time it was pretty explicit in showing the relationship between the two main characters . Definitely pre code . And Katharine's costumes are amazing . Apparently Katharine didn't enjoy making the movie - she and Arzner never hit it off and she was ill during filming
