These are some of the issues that future biographies could focus on :
Recently I saw a biography on Franklin Roosevelt and they commented that until the end of her days he believed that he would one day be able to walk . The commentator said he was in denial and the other person said , maybe but it enabled him to become the president of the United States instead of a stamp collecting invalid . Most of the biographies have discussed the death of Tom Hepburn and I think we all agree that it must have been a horrific event that might have finished some people off emotionally . However I would like to see a biography that explains how Katharine was able to deal with this and go on and have a successful life - most of the biographies say various stuff but they make her out to be a total victim - sometimes tragic events make or break a person? And a biography that doesn't trash her parents for how they didn't deal with the situation
The blacklist - Katharine and Spencer spent heaps of time away from each other in the 1950's - how did the political climate affect her career ? Or was she away from Spencer for some other reason?
Irene Selznick - I never understood the issue there and why the relationship ended so badly

1962-1967, the period where Kate made no movies--where it was just she and Spencer. That might be hard for a biographer to find info about, since Katie didn't like to talk about that time.

It would take a good and loyal biographer to write about this time. A lesser writer might make up junk...maybe this time is better left alone then.

I would like to know more about the relationship between Katharine and her father as regarding his management of her money . How did it work and did it ever cause conflict ? I assume not . Also did she continue to receive money from the royalties from her films and which films?
