Hi guys - just wanted to let everyone know about a great site: www.videohelp.com/dvdplayersI just managed to unlock my ( the TV program in the evening is to run away from ) new Philips DVP3310/12 and make it region free ;D Does size matter? Ever heard of less is more? www.cdfreaks.com/hardware/product/91736-Philips-DVP3310--DVD-player.htmlAnd it was a bargain ;D It looks like this player is on sale everywhere!! - WITH THE TRAY OPEN
- PUNCH IN 9, 8, 7, 9 FOLLOWED BY THE DESIRED REGION CODE ("0" FOR ALL REGIONS).
- PRESS OK.
THAT'S IT.
So just a little hint if you need a new DVD-player

Thanks dreamer, practically all DVD players sold in Australia luckily are region free already but that is awesome!
Any idea how to 'region-free' your computer DVD player?! Now that I would love to know!

Sorry for not responding earlier Jess. Have googled for some smart tool - not sure if there is one answer. Have tried with my pc player -> searching for the lock on the above site - but hadn't luck. But HEY maybe YOU have more luck!! Else I would think you have to read the examples of how to here www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/region-free-tools#25Hint: Do read the comments by the users - they give you a clue whether there are problems or something to watch out for

Thank you so much dreamer, that site was excellent. I downloaded a few programs on my laptop but unfortunately my DVD drive is still locked to region 2 (which isn't even Australia or America's region haha.. it's wierd some DVDs work, lots don't) If anyone else can help with links or if you guys know anyone that you can ask to help, I just want to be able to play all DVDs on my computer. I'm sure there's a program out there but I haven't found it so far. I'd even be willing to pay for a program if I was sure it would work. that's what's good about the free ones, if they don't work it's no dramas. Jess
