Good purchase I just recently purchased the Century Collection myself and found by doing so the treat of Without Love. I already had a copy of Morning Glory on vhs which is good as well. I havent yet gotten into Sylvia Scarlett The Corn is Green or Undercurrent.
I havent purchased any Kate objects of late but I know there are plenty of other gems out there I can buy. Time will tell

Amazon wanted this for $28. I paid $50 for it in store. Never again. Everything's always cheaper online. Suncoast can choke on that extra twenty. But heck, all I can say is that it's about time I bought this anyway. Don't know when I'll get around to watching it though.

So how's that Dietrich catalog? As good as Kate's?

Not nearly as good as Kate's, no. I later discovered that the belongings which went up for auction at Sotheby's in 1997 were the contents of her New York apartment only. Apparently she had three homes; obviously the one she occupied in France until her death, her New York apartment which I mentioned earlier, and uh...I forgot the location of the other one. Perhaps there was only two.
Anyway, Dietrich's catalog is mostly in black and white -- not in color like Kate's. The items were just about what you'd expect: clothes, furniture, photos, luggage, kitchenware (spoons, cups, plates), etc...
Dietrich hardly ever threw anything away, so I felt there was so much more to see. It was worth the price.

Love Bonnie and Clyde, and I'd have to say Rosemary's Baby is one of my favorite movies. It's so creepy yet so good. Definitely freaked me out about having a baby though haha!

richard ... you will have a blast with the garland-rooney box set. GIRL CRAZY is a personal favorite .. judy in 'embraceable you' is absolutely entracing ... and her .. well, gorgeousness and attitude in 'can you use me?" can't be beat. my most recent acquisitions were in grand rapids, minnesota at the 33rd annual judy garland festival (teeny tiny grand rapids . ... the minnesota grand rapids .. was her home town .. she lived there until she was 4) ... commemorative stamps and silly mugs, that kind of thing. no big purchases. but a few memories. oh, and i met two munchkins from the 1939 wizard of oz. no fooling ..

Holiday is great. You can buy it separately on DVD... www.amazon.com/Holiday-Katharine-Hepburn/dp/B000ION7AI/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1216173785&sr=8-2It's a nice DVD too. I haven't purchased anything in a long time. Oh I did FINALLY get Captains Courageous. It had never been released here, and has been on my Amazon wishlist for donkeys years. But then one day I happened upon it in a store. Had to have it. Even though I have no money. I conned the person I was with into paying for it... I also finally got around to buying some Bogart sets. They're like the signature collections they have in the United States, except ours have different movies in them. IN the US Vol. 1 has Casablanca, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, They Drive by Night and High Sierra. And Vol. 2 has The Maltese Falcon, Across the Pacific, Action in the North Atlantic, All Through the Night, Passage to Marseille But here in New Zealand Vol. 1 has They Drive By Night, High Sierra, The Maltese Falcon and To Have & Have Not And Vol. 2 has The Big Sleep, Dark Passage, Key Largo and The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. Bizarre. I also got the second Joan Crawford set off Amazon. AMAZING Quite possibly, it's not as good as the first Crawford set, but its still amazing. NOW I WANT A THIRD There's enough boxed sets for that damned Bette Davis. It's about time Joan gets another; she was a better actress after all... I also have been thinking that they should do a Crawford & Gable boxed set - with all of their films (minus Dancing Lady and Strange Cargo, which are already on DVD)

I hate to be so smug, but rightly so. I was jealous of myself after I had ordered it but before it arrived. I said "Shane, you're going to have Love Among The Ruins soon. You sly dawg you".
But yeah, it was san frantastic. Loved it. As did mother.
