Recently released documents show that George Orwell the writer named Katharine as a Soviet sympathiser in the 1940's along with the guy who later wrote "The Joy of Sex". I am sure Katharine would be amused to find out that their names were linked

Wasn't Owell the guy who wrote 1984? I never finished the book but I remember there was a character named Katharine, spelled with the 'a.' While reading it I wondered if the character was named after Kate. Maybe she was.

Well speaking about Katharine has anybody noticed that there are some reviews for William Mann's new book on Amazon.com with Katharine on the cover - looking very sultry .

Hey guys, I've been MIA for a bit because I went to my Aunt Kathy's house for Memorial Day weekend. ANd guess what I did???.......GARDENED!!! And cursed at THE ROOTS!!!! The stabholes!!! It was grand.
But anyways HAHAHAHAH to George Orwell and the guy who wrote "The Joy of Sex'. And maybe Shaun....maybe.
I'm not sure what to make of Mann. I hope all of my good thoughts about him are true. The cover? Sure, ol' Kattyslacks was the most gorgeous thing that ever walked the face of the earth, but I wouldn't pick that pic of her to be on a cover. I'd put a cute, spunky, hair-all-messy, eating apples, sleeping on tables, photo of her on my book. *shrugs* I haven't read the reviews yet. Will now. Night dears.

At least Mann's book doesn't have a picture from Sylvia Scarlett on the cover.

Hey... I don't have an Aunt Kathy. . . Speaking of pictures of Kate from Sylvia Scarlett. . . it's not as though having a picture of her from The Philadelphia Story portrays her well either... She did like to wear men's clothing so doesn't a picture from Sylvia Scarlett seem more accurate. ;D You know, assuming we're not automatically concluding because she is wearing pants that she is a lesbian.

Catherine,
The reason both Parrish and Porter put the image on the cover of their books is because they were saying Katharine was a lesbian and that picture is somehow proof .

I did too! Well, sort of - I mean her friends all called her Kath, whereas we nieces and nephews used her full name Kathleen. I know..... not quite the same as Katharine. One of her grand daughters is called Katharine though, does that count?
