My name is Carolina (you can call me Carol), I'm 17 years old and I'm a big Katharine Hepburn fan.
My love for her began about 3 years ago, when I started to watch classic films. One of the first classics I saw and I also my first movie of hers was The Philadelphia Story. I loved it and it's still one of my favourite movies. I was amazed by her. Her talent, her voice, her non-convential beauty, her elegance... Everything about her was wonderful. Then, I saw Guess who's coming to Dinner and, once said, she was great. 'Then take the check for five thousand dollars which I feel you deserve and get...permanenlty...lost.' Then, I saw what has been my favourite movie of hers till now, Bringing up Baby. It's so incredibly funny! I laugh every time! I love the dinner scene with major Applegate. 'It was probably an echo...' One of the best comedies of all time. And then, of course, Stage Door, Adam's Rib, Holiday, On Golden Pond, Without Love...
She was brilliant. She was great in comedy, romantic films and drama, she could do everything. Her range, delivery, timing and power were amazing. I want to be an actress myself, and she's my biggest inspiration. Both as an actress and as a person. Her personality fascinates me aswell. She said one line that I will always carry with me: 'If you always do what interests you, at least one person is pleased.' That is a great line and it pretty much sums up her life. She always did what she wanted and that's what I plan on doing with my life. I used to be very self-conscious about myself and I was always afraid of what people might think of me, but now that I 'found' Kate, I'm no longer worried about it. If they like me, fine, if they don't, fine. I always turn to Kate when I'm feeling blue or sad... I feel as though she's always with me.
I love you Kate and I always will. Thank you for everything you've given us.
