I wonder how they would change the material for today- it was already kind of corny in 1948. So, I think the whole concept might not turn out so well, but Gere and Bening might be fun. We'll just have to wait and see.

remember it was a play first ... ibdb.com/production.php?id=1742starring, in this original production, our very own ruth hussey (liz imbrie in the film version of philadelphia story). i'm thinking this new version of STATE OF THE UNION might have some interesting possibilities. especially with bening .. hmm..
