This is more like the sister thread to "what movie..."
I had a dream several nights ago about being trapped in an old English mansion atop a giant hill. The owners kidnapped children and kept them there including myself. Now, that's the part that really confuses me. I don't really consider myself a child anymore and why in the heck am I dreaming about being in England! The house was huge and it had a large indoor barn to it. We all tried to escape but that is when I woke up.
It may not seem like much but I kind you not, that was some scary sh*t.

Hmmm... perhaps you feel like a child trapped in an adult's body ;D I had a REALLY horrible nightmare a few nights ago. I have no idea where it came from because I haven't watched any horror movies (and those never give me nightmares anyway) but I had this dream that I was staying at a house with someone... a roommate or something... I've never seen the place before. Then things would start moving on their own or my TV or radio would turn themselves on. So I tell my roommate that something's wrong with my room lol We hire one of those people who go to haunted places and measure temperature and wavelengths and what have you. So this girl is like, "This isn't good, it's on 2" and I'm like, "Is that bad? I mean, not all ghosts are bad ghosts (lol)" And she says, "Well, this one's not very happy." Then she tells me to turn the dial and listen through headphones and I hear these evil/possessed/demonic screams through static. Then on the TV there are images of a girl's face (think Exorcist girl -- her face never ceases to freak me out) and she's tearing at it with scissors and screaming. Kind of like White Noise. . I guess. Anyway, I woke up frozen. I seriously couldn't move lol I've never had a dream terrify me that much. Usually when you wake up you're fine . . . but it was still dark so that added to it. Perhaps I'm demented. I don't know. I like this thread! We should keep it going! I always have dreams -- usually sort of vague and random and pretty much never nightmares.

That sounds horrible Catherine! It's quite odd, because I almost never remember my dreams, but I did this morning and then I logged on to find this post. I had two that I remember - in the first one I was teaching my special needs class (there's only about 8 of them) and then Andrea (an English teacher) brought her class in and told me I had to teach them Welsh too. So I had like 40 kids in my classroom and I had to teach them, I don't remember what, while Andrea watched. In my second dream, I met up with an old friend and he took me on a weird trek around Wales. Some of it we walked and some of it we went on a bus, randomly stopping at a pub which I'd never been to, to find my sister working behind the bar! That's it. Not very interesting really!

Well, this is a funny thing that this thread popped up because this morning (I was sort of half-asleep) I had this really weird dream where someone from my school was leaving a message on my answering machine telling me that there was a rumor spreading around school that I had gotten drunk and paraded about the institution (anyone find it odd that they call schools this?) stark naked!! <-- that's the longest sentence ever. What was odd was that is was all in Spanish, but I understood it! Chica era desnuda! AHHH!!

Amber that's so funny! I hate naked dreams (and we always have them at school!) -- but I love dreams in which people are speaking other languages and you understand them ;D So awesome. It's funny that this thread was started now because I had the weirdest dream last night. I NEVER have dreams about Katharine Hepburn but I've had two of Spencer Tracy now. The first one I think I wrote about before -- we were filming a movie together and then we had to jump off the top of an apartment building together (where I woke up before hitting). Then this last one, I must have been a teenager or something because I was shopping with a friend -- I think it was a guy -- for a dress (maybe prom) and we were staying at some house where Spencer Tracy was staying. He gave me his credit card to go buy the dress lol Then he shows up at the store where we are shopping and starts talking to the cashiers and I'm like, this is so cool! Spencer Tracy is shopping with me. I even remember looking at the credit card and seeing his name "Spencer (H R) Tracy" I have no idea where the H R came from. Another odd thing, there was a hole punched in the top of the card and it was attached to receipts. Ahh. . . this is my brain. ;D

LMAO Catherine!! Tahahahaha you went shopping with Spence!!! For a dress! No fair!!! You must have been staying at some sort of hotel/sleepy-inn. He would be the one to buy a random girl a new dress, though. Because he's the sweetest thing ever. There were receipts attached too? WTH? Girl, your brain is funny. ;D Haha, I should crack open my dream book and tell you guys what your dreams all mean. I'm Miss Cleo, call me now for your free tarot reading!

Last night I dreamed that Lauren Bacall gave me her chicken recipe. Then she called me up to ask me how I liked it and I said it was "okay." She said that she also had chicken but wasn't very hungry so she just ate the HEAD of the chicken! Then the phone rang and I woke up. lol I really wanted to ask her how that tasted. Say do you think that I heard the phone ringing in my sleep and that's why I dreamed about talking on it? In case you're wondering, it was present-day Bacall, not yowzaa 1940s Bacall. Not that that mattered...it's Lauren Bacall!

Lauren Bacall: Circus Geek. :-D Judy

I did a dream analysis search. Apparently eating means: Satisfaction, happiness, pleasure assured. Chicken means: Fortune in love, joy and happiness in all aspects of your life. But then another site says dreaming of chicken "symbolizes cowardliness and a lack of willpower. Chickens also represents excessive chatter and gossip. Listen closely to what people may be saying about you or what you are saying about others." LOL Quite different. Maybe you just had a huge craving for chicken and a Betty Bacall movie. ;D
