Don't worry - I only do a couple of sessions per month and am "switched off" now. Just don't point out all my mistakes... how embarrassing! It's 13:20 now and I'm at my regular office job where I work for an import company. It's a gorgeous crisp, cold day and as I look out of the window I can see deep blue sky & snow-topped mountains. I've just translated a bulletin from the German Chamber of Commerce and am now preparing to switch languages for this afternoon's meeting with a French supplier. Feel like Kate in WOTY Yeah, sure - I wish

You sound like WOTY! Sounds like a fun job -- I was going to school to be an interpreter. But with all the millions of things I want to do, that's taken a back burner... I should consider it again though because I do want to learn more languages and well, how else can I put it to good use? Right now it looks chilly outside. The sky is clear, which is GREAT because it's been cloudy the past few days -- snowing and everything. I'm drinking a cup of coffee and eating dry shredded wheat (milk expired). Yummy.

It's cold out here, with a little bit of snow on the ground. I backed out of a parking spot today and bumped a car that was backing out across the way. That scene in BUB where Susan is trying to pull out of that space reminds me of my driving, unfortunately.

Ouch, poor car! I see the scene before my very eyes. I've become a rather good driver over the summer, but with the way Buffalo gets hammered with snow from the damn lake effect (we have about 1.5 ft already), I'm going to have to learn a whole different type of driving. Makes me wish that I'd started driving at 14. Ah well. It's clear now, at least. Yey! I've just about finished my dance. I have to study for four tests (Psych, French, Spanish, Math). I'm running on two hours of sleep and I have to finish 'A Christmas Carol' for stupid College English. I'm just rambling off my schedule now-I think I'll take a nap.
Yes, I wouldn't have gotten any rest knowing this post wasn't edited. ;D

LOL it's become an obsessive-compulsive thing. MUST HAVE EDITING!!
The snow is melting. So awesome. Except I wanted to go sledding. I haven't done it in years. A friend of mine went sledding only she used it as a snowboard -- not sure how well I would function using a sled in that way but... worth a try. I'm sure I'll end up on my ass or my head. I drive a stick shift so it's much easier to get around on ice and snow. I actually think it's kind of fun. I like to slam on my breaks in half-empty parking lots that are covered with ice. But I've been driving for... 9 years. So you little ones, don't try that at home ;D

Watching an Australian mini series - Changi .
It always makes me cry - it follows the lives of 7 Australian prisoners of war in the camps

Sounds interesting - your post reminded me of the excellent 1980s TV miniseries Tenko about British women prisoners of war in Singapore

I was listening to "It's All Over Now Baby Blue" (Van Morrison's version of Bob Dylan's song) -- one of the best songs EVER!! But only if it's Van Morrison singing it. But then I listened to your song... very awesome. I like the guitar. Lovely. Thanks for sharing

Wonderful icon Isabelle! Did you make it yourself?
I'm just running a bath and getting ready to go out tonight. Been round my mum's most of the day, and when I came home the post had been, including State of the Union, which I'd pre-ordered from play, though it states it's not out til Monday. So that was a lovely surprise. I shall watch it after my bath while curling my hair and doing my nails! What a lovely afternoon!
Love Gem
