They give you a cup with your name on in Starbucks?!

LOL Yeah! Well, at mine anyway. It's a rather random occurrence. Sometimes they do (like when they're busy), sometimes they don't. Usually when the manager chick is taking orders she remembers you so she doesn't have to write your name. I go to Starbuck's way too often. It's a major rip-off but their pumpkin spice latte is to die for. Plus they have an outdoor patio. I spent many hours there during the summer.

How odd! I don't go to Starbucks often, but I've never heard of them doing that! Bizzare!

To revert to topic, I'm another Pisces - and a very typical one at that. I notice we already have several things in common, Catherine - Kate, Cary, chocolate, foreign films, la langue francaise (no cedilla on my keyboard!), and Madonna (mind you, I'm old enough to be her & your mother And I'd hazard a guess we're both pretty dreamy types who love to escape into their own fantasy world?

How awesome Karina! Another Pisces and yes, we do have a lot in common! I'm definitely a dreamy type. I can usually keep my head out of the clouds if I have something to focus on... and I never get bored because if I have to remain idle for any amount of time, I just escape into my fantasy world. Or draw. Don't leave any blank paper sitting around (or paper that isn't blank for that matter). I'll inevitably draw all over it if I'm on the phone. It's a complete habit and most of the time I don't realize what I'm drawing on until I hang up. Not good if I happen to be sitting in front of a bill.

Yeah. I agree. I think it's great that there's been genuine bonding going on and I really appreciate how considerate everyone is on this board (as I'm sure you all know that is often not the case)....And....I don't mean to offend anyone....BUT the reason I don't post as much is because so much of the talk is not about Hepburn....

Judy: I assume your comment is in relation to my post on the "active forum" thread? And by the way - I didn't mean to offend anyone either. But it seems that something good came out of it with Gem's idea of the trivia question game.... except that so far, the questions have been too difficult (except for Smith's "difficult question")!

Yeah, Karina...I MEANT to reply to that Active Forum thread and replied to the Sign one instead....Okay. So I ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer :-)
Your post didn't sound offensive in the least - as I hope mine didn't. It was friendly and considerate as are everyone's posts here.
I'm twice most of the ages of the people in this group...Okay. That'd be a lie...I'm a little more than twice (sob)....So don't all you guys get me wrong. I think it's terrific that a whole new - and, I might add, very discerning - generation has discovered what you and I and Smith and my fellow Taurus, Sherry, discovered when WE were their ages or younger.....and that is that there is no one quite like KHH.

Hmm... While I understand the need for Hepburn-talk, I think it's good to get to know the other members. I wish Judy and Smith would participate MORE in the other conversations... Anyway, I've been enjoying this thread a lot lately because there's so much going on! I can't leave it for more than a day or else I'll be stuck here reading for three hours.

Okeydoke...Be careful what you wish for....
I like most music of all shapes and varieties. From Noel Coward to Nickel Creek. From Mozart to Madonna. From Neil Sedaka to Neil Young. From Frank Sinatra to Frank Zappa. From The Shirelles to Sade. From the Four Seasons to the Four Tops. From the Mills Brothers to the Everly Brothers. From Bobby Darin to Bob Dylan. From Billie Holiday to Bonnie Raitt. From Tschaikovsky to James Taylor. From Stravinsky to Squeeze. From Puccini to Prince. From Bach to (my absolute all-time faves) THE BEATLES.
And I only understand une petit peux in French, but can speak Hebrew and some broken other languages.
I can't talk about my college courses because...well...I can't remember any of em (not true: I have a BA in Art History).

An art history major! I have been juggling this in my head since I graduated high school -- Art history, fashion design... illustration. I don't know what to do with myself. Hebrew?! Very cool. As for THE BEATLES, I've been on a major Beatles kick for the past couple months. What's strange is I didn't even realize it was John Lennon's birthday a while back and a few days before, I had this sudden urge to listen to John Lennon. Creeepy. Well, maybe not that creepy because I tend to get John Lennon urges frequently. I've been playing them in my car a lot lately. They've been temporarily replaced by Madonna's new CD. Hey, I can actually turn this into a Kate topic! What kind of music did she listen to? I think someone already asked this a while back and someone else said they "thought" classical. Do we not know for sure? Was she not a music person?

I was nine when I first heard of The Beatles. How important were/are they to me? Well, let's just say that other than my Kate Hepburn movie posters, about the only other things I have hanging on my walls are Beatles-related. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Judy
