Whenever you do a search for Kate movies on ebay there are always dozens of copies of The African Queen and Summertime, only they are labeled 'PAL' dvds. Does anyone know what a PAL dvd is and if it would work on my dvd player?

I think that means that it's a UK version, which I assume means it's region 2, but I'm not entirely sure. DVD's are meant to be labeled by region, I thought that PAL was used to refer to videos, usually in the UK. I think. Love Gem

One of the first things I bought on ebay was the PAL DVD version of The African Queen and it was all in Japanesse. Well, the movie wasn't, but everything else was. It doesn't work in my regular player, however, it does on my computer DVD player. So, I'm also confused as to what region it is. Perhaps it's just best to wait until they start putting TAQ on DVD in the US. They sure are taking their sweet ol' time, though.

The African Queen isn't out on DVD in the US?! That's crazy! A couple of weeks ago there was a free copy in one of our Sunday newspapers!

You mean that they've got so many copies of it over there that they're giving them away? That isn't fair I would really like to know why it is taking them so long to release the DVD.

ARE YOU JOKING?!
That makes me want to run off a cliff. I don't care about new Buster Keaton or Chaplin DVD sets, there are tons of them out already! Make some Kath DVDs or else film restoration/DVD making people! When you think about it, how many are out?
Summertime (FAVORITE MOVIE EVER ;D) TPS BUB the Tracy Hepburn Signature Collection (so there's AR, WOTY, P&M and the ST Legacy) The Rainmaker Stage Door Desk Set On Golden Pond ....forgotten any?
That's so puny it's pathetic.
