This isn't a print...It's an issue of American Artist with an article on the artist. I have a copy and it's nice - so possibly the next best thing to an actual print - although if anyone has purchased my friend's book of her paintings on eBay, this is on the cover, too. JS

40's Kate would have looked marvelous in color, but I wouldn't want to see it that way. I've never seen a color job that I liked.

What is it like. Mean seeing a film that was made in B&W and made into colour - haven't seen any yet. Could one you having the coloured version of Holiday post some screen caps so I could see, what it looks like? Please!

Well every black and white movie that I've seen colorized looks terrible. All of the colors are very flat, there's no range to them and everyone's skin is the same color. Often the picture looks blurry as well. Here's a link to a company that colorizes films. Supposedly they are the best in the industry right now. They have trailers up that you can look at. The one for 'She' is nice but it still doesn't look perfect. www.legendfilms.net/

Thanks for the link - just looked at She and My Man Godfrey - thought they were much brighter. They kept them low. Better low than bright IMO. You are right though, they have the same skin. Some of the charm is getting lost with color. Maybe I'm just to old fashion. I prefer them in B&W. Photos as well.

I read in Leonard Maltin's movie guide that there is a color version of Adam's Rib. Ugh!
