Ooofff. That took the air out of my lungs. I enjoy his choice of attire for his video-blogs, too. That is homoseksyuelle BUFF. Take notes, George! Bobby, I see you hiding there behind that eucalypt------AHHHH, PUT THAT CREATURE DOWN. IMMA CALL SPCA.
::combusts::
36 years slipped out of his mouth. How about you are so wrong, pal. He doesn't even know what is fact and what he fabricated anymore. And hi, I OWN some of those suppossed letters he has seen. Somehow I misconstrued what was in them as TRUTH. Thank the stars he's here to lead me out of this tangled web of lies! Lies, I tell you! Apparently, my life has been a sham!
It's gotten to the point now where I just laugh. People aren't dumb, contrary to what we see on the internets. Those morons on imdb can be equated to ants at a picnic. [Can I just say how I admire you guys for sticking it out on there and setting those people straight/defending Kate/Bette/Joan, etc.] And how irritating are those blind, non-confrontational news hosts!? Say something, stupid! </Liz>
I wash my hands of this mess.

youtubie: truly outrageously stunningly revelatory .. seeing this man talk about how he feels about kate and what drew him to this project in the first place (seeing people react to her death? for crissake ... geez) is all i needed to know. puts me in mind of two scenes the provide the perfect antidote ... i.e. that provide real genuine feeling to wash all this eek away.
[1] spence to assembled clan and to-be-inlaws and others in final speech of GWCTD: "if after what you are to each other you don't get married ..." ... ah [2] judy garland's alice mayberry to her new soldier husband joe about to go off to war in THE CLOCK: "Joe, darling, you're coming back! Do you want me to tell you how I know? Two days ago you came to this city and you didn't know anyone. You didn't know me, I didn't know you. And now we're married, and we both know that that was meant to be. So don't you see? Whoever makes the arrangements for people is doing pretty well for us. That's all we need to know."
really, friends, as she said "that's all we need to know".
bah.

I also think it odd that he would join this site back a couple of years ago and LIE to us, as if he didn't know he had an agenda. All of that "You're making Kate proud" folderol. Sounded silly coming from someone who thought he knew more about Kate than we did. God, he even used Judy's and Kerrie's names in his "references".
No sense in crying over spilled milk, though. Wipe it up!

Mann is going to "live" off of his book about Kate for as long as he can. Two years have passed since it was published and he's STILL lecturing on it to the unsuspecting. He's pathetic. Even in this interview he makes statements about Kate that are total lies. Focusing on one, he says that Hepburn intimated that she thought acting was a bore. There is not one piece of evidence -- interview or otherwise in which Hepburn acted as though she thought acting was a bore. In fact, if you read her comments in interviews or you see her interviewed, she flat out says repeatedly that she enjoyed it. Judy and I recently attended the Dick Cavett/Marian Seldes presentation of Kate's letters at the New York Public Library, they showed a 20 minute interview that Cavett did with her in 1984. Near the end Cavett asked her, "Why do this?" (meaning acting, show buisness) Her response was a big smile and the comment, "It must be fun." That attitude was repeated by Hepburn many times throughout her career -- she flat out enjoyed it. Mann in his never ending need to make her appear in all areas of her life to have been totally different from the public person, can't even allow her own words in regard to her feelings about her profession to stand without him adding his negative spin. He's repulsive.
