One of the most amazing bits of Katharine footage I have even seen was shown at the Kennedy Centre awards . They had Hepburn home movies - just a little bit and you saw Katharine as a young child rowing a canoe and climbing to the top of a very tall tree and hanging on for dear life - she would have been about 7 years old and she was so cute .
The Hepburn family apparently have a lot of home movies - but I have been told that there is no footage of Katharine's wedding - no photographs either . I was surprised at that

Yes, that's quite surprising really. Do you think it's because no photos were ever taken, or just that they got lost/destroyed?

I believe that no photographs were ever taken which is very surprising as seeing our Kate walk down the aisle would be a sight to behold .
My idea is that even though Luddy had been talking about marriage for a long time the decision to get married was actually a rather sudden one . We know that Katharine insisted on a small wedding - only relatives and close friends so maybe there wasn't time to organise a photographer .

But with Luddy being such a keen photographer, I still find it hard to believe that there weren't even a couple of family snaps taken.........

One of those strange things that you can't explain . I guess Luddy had other things to think about on his wedding day .
