While over the Pacific and with the boys asleep, Miss Pudd (KHH) gives one of the most incredible soliloquy's I've ever experienced(despite KHH leanings). I think I have the dvd somewhere and will re-watch to quote verbatim. In the meantime, see it if you can, see it now.

Jim Hi Jim: You took the words right outta my....That scene - and the earlier one when she comes home and makes herself a cup of tea - is so beautiful. The way it's shot - in that quiet otherworldly atmosphere - and performed - with the combination of fear and delight and real feeling that were at her command. Just beautiful. There are other things to like about the movie, too. I actually like very much the way the script SOUNDS like a children's book - especially Miss Pudd's dialogue. But that scene.... Judy

The tea scene is my fav scene in OOOF - the loneliness - the way it is shot - just everything in it speaks volumes

Totally agree about the tea scene. TOTALLY. It's very underrated and basically awesome.
But---does anyone have thoughts about Miss Pudd and the Great Sandusky?
And, I love you too, Ambachum. :-D I'll see you in FIVE DAYS OHMIGAWD.

Like I said earlier in the thread- keep in mind I haven't seen the movie in a while- it struck me as more of a mentor-like friendship...no idea where that came from...but somehow not romantic.
