nooooo....
but i'm an anti-colorization kinda gal
i mean .. unless its done with historical research (e.g. what color was that dress when filmed?) and .. even then, often things were filmed in odd colors to adjust for how they photographed in black and white .... and given that the original creators conceived this masterpiece in black and white ....
isn't coloration just someone taking out a big box of crayons and coloring over someone else's work?

I watched it on TCM today too! This movie is one of my all time favs. I love it to bits.
'That's alright, I'm insured'
'You sat on your hat'
'You have to get out of this apartment!' 'But David I have a lease'
And as for a colorized version I don't ever see them, they never get the colors right, as Bette Davis once said. They should just leave them how they are.

When they find out who I am they'll let us out...When they find out who you are they'll pad the cell! ;D Judy

Ahhh such great quotes !
my favorite though and i laugh everytime she says it "s'n th box?" love it
and the shedding quote-the way she says it; very.. nonchalant (big words lol)
and ive seen it somewhere on the board-but theres that long rambling sentence she says to david which i memorized
"but its NOT A HAIRBRAINED SCHEME imagine aunt elizabeth coming to this apartment and running smack into a leopard tnat would be the end of my million dollars..if you had an aunt who was gonna give you a million dollars if she liked you and you knew she wouldnt like you if hse found a leopard in your apartment what would you do?" "I dont know"
and btw-i taught myself how to do the olive trick, and im glad to report no one has slipped on one and fell on their hat in my presence ;D

Don't worry, David. When they find out who I am they'll let us out...When they find out who you are they'll pad the cell! One of my favorite quotes from BUB! I love also: Susan: Now, certainly you can't think I did that intentionally! David: Well, if I could think, I'd have run when I saw you! David: But Susan, you can't climb in a man's bedroom window! Susan: I know, it's on the second floor! David: I bet Miss Swallow knows poison ivy when she sees it. Susan: Yes, I bet poison ivy runs when it sees her. And my personal favorite: David: You see, it's a circle. Susan: Well, of course, do you think it would roll if it were square? (all copied from IMDB). You know... I think we seldom talk about quotes and scenes in the movies threads. We upload photos (they are fantastic, of course!) and say how great these movies are (they are!). But we could discuss details more. Who will do it, if we won't?

First, I ADORE your newest banner, Kama. Adore it!
And secondly, I am currently at a family party in which SIX cousins are hovering over my shoulder and reciting everything that I am writing.
And this is the part in which I would, in fact, demonstrate my mad skrillz at Kath-quoting, but I'm finding it hard to concentrate while I HAVE SIX SNOTTY NOSES BREATHING DOWN MY BACK; JENNA GET OFF OF THE MOUSE.
Sorry, dearest ones. Tomorrow! <3

Thanks for your support. I always thought we could talk more about movies in the threads about these movies but I always forgot to write it We often talk about movies in the thread "Kate film you've seen most recently" but I think it's less thoroughly then. About my signature... Thanks But it's a long story. I really wanted to make a signature from TPS. I found photos and started to search for a nice quote. I thought about "They grew up together" but the photos didn't fit ;D I didn't want to change the quote and I suddenly figured out I can use it in other way. But one thing bothers me... I don't like "Sylvia Scarlett" much enough to have it in my signature. And about BUB... We can talk not only about quotes. Scenes are also ok My favorites are probably singing under the window, almost kiss scene in the forest and Susan dragging "Baby" to the prison. I have more but I can describe all the movie, can I?

This movie a favourite of mine! As you see from my signature! ;D
I also like:
Mrs. Random: Well, you look perfectly idiotic in those clothes. David Huxley: These aren't my clothes. Mrs. Random: Well, where are your clothes? David Huxley: I've lost my clothes! Mrs. Random: But why are you wearing *these* clothes? David Huxley: Because I just went gay all of a sudden! Even if in Italy it's dubbed differently. He says "Because I just went crazy all of a sudden!" I don't know why, but I don't like this.
Susan Vance: "He's three years old, gentle as a kitten, and likes dogs." I wonder whether Mark means that he eats dogs or is fond of them?
Susan Vance: Mm-hmm. The love impulse in men frequently reveals itself in terms of conflict.
David Huxley: [Pointing to a mark on a golf ball] You see, it's a circle. Susan Vance: Well, of course, do you think it would roll if it were square? This is so funny!!
I like this scene: Susan Vance: You mean you want *me* to go home? David Huxley: Yes. Susan Vance: You mean you don't want me to help you any more? David Huxley: No. Susan Vance: After all the fun we've had? David Huxley: Yes. Susan Vance: And after all the things I've done for you? David Huxley: That's what I mean.
Susan looks like a little girl to me.
And the whole scene in jail is amazing!

This movie a favourite of mine! It's in my top five It can be not my first Kate movie choice, but it's the funniest movie ever! Susan Vance: "He's three years old, gentle as a kitten, and likes dogs." I wonder whether Mark means that he eats dogs or is fond of them? Love it! And in this scene is also great part: David: If we put the Victrola in the bathroom, will it go back in? Susan: Yes, but the music sounds better out here.
And I forget to mention one scene I love. "Good morning, Professor" and the face of David when he answers and sees who is in the car. And later: "Don't go away! I've got the leopard!".

The jail scene makes the movie ! haha. and these liness i just love...
David Huxley: Now it isn't that I don't like you, Susan, because, after all, in moments of quiet, I'm strangely drawn toward you, but - well, there haven't been any quiet moments.
David Huxley: You don't understand: this is *my* car! Susan Vance: Your golf ball, your running board, your car? Is there anything in the world that doesn't belong to you? David Huxley: Yes, thank heavens, YOU!
David Huxley: [Susan is collecting pebbles] Susan, what are you doing? Susan Vance: Pebbles. David Huxley: Pebbles? What for? Susan Vance: Well, I've heard that if you throw pebbles up against a window, the people think it's hail and then they come and close the windows. David Huxley: I, I, I - Oh! [Susan throws the pebbles and they loudly crash against Peabody's window] David Huxley: Oh, I know we ought to go now, but somehow I can't move.
all copied from IMDB lmao theres more..but ill leave that up to all of you ;D
