what a shame you all can only support NTSC. I was going to suggest a trade, Iron Petticoat for something like Christopher Strong if any of you have it. Ooh, or Spitfire. But yeah. It's PAL. I can support Both PAL and NTSC

If I could support NTSC I'd be tempted to say it's a deal. But on the other hand, I couldn't part with any of my Kate movies. Even Spitfire.

Stupid question. When Kate goes in the store to buy the black lace dress it comes to well above her knee, but when she goes to dinner it is to the floor. In some of the pics in this thread there is a picture of her in the short dress. Any experts out there? Why was it never used in the movie? Was it too 'sexy' for Kate or the director? Anyone else catch this?

The black short dress is the petticoat (where Kate´s character allows her to not only to dream but actually get one) and the long one is the dress on top of the petticoat. Because of the iron hand which they where lead back then in Russia - and Kate's pushing her own boundaries with the black petticoat = the iron petticoat. At least that is what I always thought was the red thread in the title
