Shaun Metrostah Yeah and when mentioned - some pages they write that Meryl Streep had 13 nominations - as if she is the better actres - but they forget that she "only" has 2 and one of them as supporting actress/actor Kate had 12 nominations in leading parts - won 4 Oscar's Even Ingrid Bergman has won more than Streep - she won 3 oscars, 2 for leading parts - 1 for supporting role - but that is never mentioned - in fact do not quit understand why the nominations (a document) are allways mentioned and not the award it self

I don't know which treat fits so I'll take this. I think you know it (you know everything, my friends . But I didn't know. From IMDB on Funny Girl: Barbra Streisand was, at the time of the film's release, a voting member of AMPAS. When she found she was nominated, she, like any member nominated, voted for herself. If she hadn't, she wouldn't have tied with Katharine Hepburn for the year's Best Actress Oscar.I copied it - if there were anybody in the world who didn't know that, like me, they would know I think it's interesting.

i just thought i'd share one of my cell phone pictures from the national portrait gallery centennial retrospective here .. one of my now favored 'butt shot' line ups of the oscars. from this perspective, of course, the oscars are arrayed earliest (the greyest one) on the right to the most recent one on the furtherst left ....

Great, Judy. "Yare" and "dwarf" are my top parts. Don't worry, I write this kind of things, too (in my native language of course). That's the best way to express your feelings (yeah, that - not swearing A "dwarf" is special but I think this line of Oscars is a little like a diagram of evolution, isn't it?

I'm always slow on such things. Grrr! I, too, love the poem Judy. In caft FACT...wow, that's a Spencer moment... wish I had written it.
I wrote one about Kate too once, but it was less of a good time...
'Tis oh so bright, turn off the light and step out into the garden oh you lanky gal, you are my best pal 'why sir, I do beg your pardon!'
'Come on Kate, let's not be late we must make the débutante ball Spitfire's a flop, well I say "so what!?" Now please cut out that weird southern drawl'.
So off we went, Kate and I (a gent) to dance this hot night away But who's this?, Mr. Grant - we don't need your slant Nor your cockney humor, today.
On the way home later on, we stumbled upon a strange couple who were sporting a leopard Kate loved the idea, 'let's make it a film, Cary dear' 'Oh Kate, you are so intrepid'
What is the point, of these words I appoint in this jaunty old verse for Kate Hepburn? Well that I know not, it don't matter a jot but dear boy, just don't make us get stern! *shakes fist angrily*
As you see, it was an uninspired moment. Well...you wouldn't see. Usually I'm more inspired than that trust me.

Also, I've written some Kate poetry. Wrote this one in summer '03. I entered it in the Young Author's contest through my school and it went all the way to the state competition. I think it's kind of terrible, guess the judges just liked Kath. Kate
My hero doesn't wear a cape - she doesn't swing from trees My hero never tried to be the savior of the world My hero is beloved for her pants and leggy stride She listened to the song of life - And on June twenty-ninth - She died.
