AR is scheduled to be on this evening in the U.S. ... on TCM. 10:30pm eastern time. Ah Amanda. preparing my social media typing fingers to share quotations that entertain me. So many, not the least of which, for some odd reason, is "hooks and eyes, begad!" ... "Well, you couldn't with your mouth full anyway." ;D

"Well, you couldn't with your mouth full anyway." ;D "Urrrrrrrmmmnuuuugerrrrderuunnnn." Did anyone else catch that slip in the script from Mrs. Bonner [Sr.], when Adam and Amanda greet his parents at the stairs? "It's just us, Maddo." 'Maddo', of course, being a nickname for 'Madeline' OR Amanda 1.0. Did our favorite collaborative team keep the original line because it was mostly throwaway, or what? Perhaps it could also work as a nickname for 'Amanda', but... I don't presume George expected every member of the audience to have a copy of the Kanins' original screenplay in their home libraries. Life. And while we're on the scene: "This is a dress I have on." Also: "HELLODAHLINGHOWAREYOU." Sigh. Kate.

Yeah, I always figured they left "Mado" in cause it was such a throwaway and they figured people would assume it was a nickname for Amanda rather than what it was. How 'bout: Did you have to sulk all night....and with a growl on your face.
