Oh wow. How could I have forgotten all of her outfits in Undercurrent? That's like one of my favorites! That evening gown, though (along with the flowy hat to top it off) is smoking! Kate looked so ravishing in it, as well. And it showed how lean she was. Okay, skinny. But oh yes, that's my second favorite for sure (too bad she only was in it for 5 minutes ) And you summed it up beautifully, Sherry. She's like what they said about another certain Hepburn: "She could look elegant wearing a paper bag." ;D

Oh my sainted aunt clothes
The pantsuit in WOTY where Katharine and Spencer bite each other's ears off
The costume in BUB where Katharine wears a dress with a sort of sqiggley thing at the top .

Woah Bessie! TWO pages of a thread I haven't even seen yet! Smith, I love the pantsuit -- and that scene! The BUB dress with the weird headpiece. The robe in TPS that she wears over her bathing suit. I love how the belt cinches the front and the back flows freely. This seems very Adrian -- did he do that robe as well? The houndstooth robe in AR. Every time I see that pattern, I think of that movie. The Chinese-inspired outfit she wears in BUB while searching for the bone -- the one with the wide-leg pants, tunic and Chinese peasant-type hat. Also love the WOTY open-toed heels (pre-egg). The hat Adam gave Amanda in AR. The black dress she wore to the party in AR. (isn't it funny how we say the color... of course it's black! It could be burgundy... or red... or something. But I guess red shows up more as dark grey than black). How fun it would have been to be a costume designer for the black and white era. They designed everything with the knowledge that they would need contrasting colors to show up well onscreen. Of course, the set as well had to have this taken to mind. The sweater and pant outfit in the AR home movie Her black boots in Iron Petticoat (I've only seen pictures) The huge ruffle-sleeve dress she wore during her introduction on Bill of Divorcement The white top, white sweater around the shoulders, white pants and dirty Keds outfit during the AR home movie The skirt suit she is wearing when she first meets Spencer Tracy in WOTY The militant jacket she wears in Stage Door in her first scene. ALL the Summertime outfits. Could these seem better because they are in color? I noticed that Kate wears red, white and blue a lot as well... after all, they were her favorite colors. Mine, too! ;D Except I add black in there a little more than I probably should (clothing-wise) and rarely actually WEAR blue. The white and gold dress from TPS -- I'm assuming these are the colors because of this: Can't tell if it's colorized or not. The polka-dot getup she wore while pretending to be mauled by a leopard. That thing looked wonderfully annoying to wear. The Guess Who's Coming to Dinner coat that Judy mentioned. The polka-dot "loungewear" in WOTY. I've concluded this is either burnt orange or red.

Like Smith, it's the WOTY pantsuit for me. Then there's also the Delafield wedding outfit.
And did someone mention hats? I just love those she wore in Suddenly Last Summer; Love Among the Ruins; and the weird drawstring face-covering ones in Quality Street - what a laugh!

She sure looked purdy in her Philly Story and Alice Adams clothes. Okay I'm a fish out of water on this thread. Bye now.

Oh the curtain hats! Oh my God... I was laughing so hard. At first I thought they were .. jokes or something (?) but then Kate had one, too. I was dying. I can't imagine why those didn't make a come-back ;D

Am I allowed to just say everything? Cause I can't think of a single time Kath didn't look amazing, or at least great, on screen. Maybe I missed one somewhere but can't see how.

Between this two movie I prefer Song of love, but they are both good . There are beautiful music : brahms, schubert ... In undercurrent except in the begining, katharine wears beautiful clothes, very stylish. I forgot the dress of kate in mrs delafiels wants to marry, in the wedding, as karina said : a indian pink dress, waouah
