It's self-explanatory. I'll start: I bought this on ebay for $22. It just arrived today. As you can see I haven't opened it yet, but I remember Judy's painfully detailed description about the interior packaging, so I'm taking my time about it. The price alone is incredible seeing as they want $40+ elsewhere. I just bought a new digital camera and I wanted to make Kate my first subject.

Good thread idea!
All I can say to your recent purchase is: PINK. NO. NEVER. ::gags::
[Except once. Remember the hot pink, I believe it was a Valentina, pantsuit sold at the Sotheby's auction? Look it up. It's NEON PINK AND SO NOT HER. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY SHE EVEN OWNED IT... besides the fact that it's a pansuit.]
And that cover photo! She looks so predatory! That's never been one of my favorites and it seems to be used so often.

Ooooooooooooooh...
Nice pictures. Good camera.
I have the 100th Anniversary Collection too. I had it preordered when it was about to be released. I must say, I had it -all the way to sleepy little New Zealand no less- within a week of its release. Go Amazon!
But yeah...the packaging. I cry at night about the packaging.
Plus, when I opened it...day one...to play Sylvia Scarlett (which I hadn't seen, well I had seen none of the films in the set)...I left the packaging open, neatly, on the floor. Film watched, enjoyed, finished...I'm putting it back in the packaging and SEEWHATSTHIS! OH MY GOD! THE CAT! Our [bastard] cat had in fact chewed one of the corners of the wee cardboardness. I was in tears.
A bit dramatic, perhaps, but I was in tears all the same. As for the cat...she no longer lives with us. *holds glass up as Kate did in the whole Michael Jackson/Captain's Courageous/favorite kate film saga from the Berg book*

Oh and the last thing I bought was awhile ago -I am moved...to teeeeeeears- and it was Rain (1932). With Joanie. I seem to recall railing against Joan somewhere on these threads. I used to despise her but I'm starting to like her... Might start buying some more of her films. "music and a nip of liquor, that's what a rainy day is for, says I"... Sadie Thompson is my kind of gal...

I guess that makes me the last one to own the 100th anniversary set. This from a HUGE Undercurrent nut too! *hangs head in shame* I really want to buy it in a store, however. When that barcode slides across the scanner I will be showing Warner Home Video that I support--and demand more--Kate on DVD!! Alas, I haven't found it anywhere yet.
My last purchase was Vivien: The Life of Vivien Leigh by Alexander Walker. It's a bit on the dull side but I haven't even gotten to the part when GWTW gets published. When I do maybe that will spice it up.
EDIT: wait, WHV gets sales info from Amazon too, right? Of course they do! What the hell am I waiting for?
Shane, I believe I've railed against Joan in the past too. She has fast become one of my favorites now.

Uhm, Shaun, you're not going to be the last person to buy it. ::raises hand:: I AM.
No reason other than I already own 'em all. And it would be cool to have Undercurrent on DVD, too. But I'd rather spend my money on memorabillia or like, some boots. SORRY KATH, LOVE YOU.

I have them all too. I even bought THE CORN IS GREEN on ebay just a few days before I heard about this set. I feel obligated to buy it though. If only it had nicer extras.

It's funny Richard that you too recently have bought animated movies I just ordered The Jungle Book - the very first film or was it Lady and the Tramp I saw with my mother in the Cinema - today along with The 40 Year editon of GWCTD I really really like the early Disney films - such as Lady and the Tramp, Bambi and The Aristocats - they bring such loving memories back. We kids were told about the film and the entire week was an endless countdown until it finally got sunday. The expectations and the thrill was just awesome. Those I also intend to buy in near future. This one I haven't bought but was finally able to record it on my HDD/DVD Had been looking out for it a long time.

I don't think I've ever seen THE JUNGLE BOOK, or THE LADY AND THE TRAMP. But I, too, have a fondness for Disney's early animated films -- before everything became digital. And 101 DALMATIONS should be hitting shelves in early March. I've been waiting a while for that one -- one of my favorites. In case anyone is wondering, I still haven't opened my 100th Anniv. collection yet.

I finally got my 1930s scrapbook in the mail the other day from Ebay. I love it! There are so many pics of great people in it. There's even an autograph from Richard Dix only I have no idea who that is lol. Finally I got this the day before the scrapbook: And tons of other stuff I found at antique malls the other day, a Judy ad, GWTW book, Kate bios, etc.

I'm sure some of you have seen these where magazines are sold. Audrey will still be on newsstands until April 10th, I think, but Grace ended last December. Bought both 4 dollars cheaper on Ebay though. I told you all I was going to buy it, and it was on sale at my local Target for $130. The cheapest I've seen anywhere.
