Think carefully....what character do you like most. and tell everyone why, what you think about the character.
Its really hard actually. Because they are all wonderful for different reasons.
Ethel is the one I'd most like to meet. Alice is the one I relate too most, and sympathize with. Rose is just so funny if you ask me. Susan is in a similar vein, just funny, and slightly annoying - but endearing. Tracy lord is is someone I admire. Amanda is admirable: strong, and stands up. Terry fascinates me. I find her endlessly interesting. I feel she is probably the one I'm most like, in terms of mannerisms, personality. Violet too, is so fascinating. But in a creepy, disturbing way. Mary (Tyrone) is so complex, and interesting, and I think, tragic. Christina is just so inspiring - her liberal outlook, and open mindedness is amazing. then. now. Eleanor of Aquitaine is one of my heroes. Enough said. Eula Goodnight is a delight.
So favorite? I dont know. It's not about what character I like most, artistically - in terms of the story, nature of the character etc. It's not about acting. Its about what character would I most like to know. So Ethel, Alice or Terry. And I'm going to choose. Alice Adams. I find her lovely, and I could easily see me and her as friends.

I totally understand what you're saying about Alice Adams. The same is probably true for me too. However, I went with Tess Harding. She's sexy, intelligent, independent and driven and the character I'd most like to know.

Hey, man, I'm with Shaun. Tess is awesome. Although. . . man, Amanda came in close... almost tied. Decisions decisions. Wait, actually, I change my vote to Amanda. She's driven, knows what she wants and doesn't back down just because her husband's on the same case. OOOH yeah. Hot. Tess, on the other hand, is a tad more on the selfish side... but she means well. Yeah, it's still sorta tied. Both have awesome attire.

Well, I like all of the Kate characters for different reasons but I think I like Tracy Lord the best. I'd like to know Tracy Lord, run in her crowd, live in her house, and have her gorgeousness. Also I liked the fact that she grew in the film from a person who could see only the faults of others into a person who could see faults in herself and then had the brains to admit it and change. She was an intelligent, admirable woman with an understanding heart.

I adore Linda Seton. Gorgeous, intelligent, thoughtful, yet still a dreamer. Charming beyond belief. Values freedom. In my mind, her life with Johnny post-movie would be as close to perfect as possible.

I retract all 16-year-old, fog-brained votes towards my favorite character and would like to place my ballad on Miss Pudd, an autobiographical piece from one Miss KHH. I almost say this list is rigged and I am deeply saddened that Trigger is not on there as well. I CALL SHENANIGANS!
