Now as a NYC local (yea) I visited another exhibit at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts ... (NYPL at Lincoln Center) ... that includes pieces related to our lady. our kate. "On Stage In Fashion: Design for Theater, Opera, and Dance" www.nypl.org/events/exhibitions/stage-fashionOh my. Signs about not taking photos and lighting dim to protect the costumes and designs and pictures on display ... but your intrepid gal detective has a few offerings. here from the display case focused on designs for her stage outing in THE MILLIONAIRESS.

a few more shots from a return visit today [shots of PHILADELPHIA STORY and WITHOUT LOVE stage ensembles harder to capture in another part of the exhibit .. more dimly lit and on the wall rather than flat in a display case as the images already posted here are displayed ]]

This is really random and like total bad fan award, but in my defence, I haven't seen the film, just pictures. What is the film where she wears that GAWGEOUS dress? Is it called Song of Love?

They're not from 'Song of Love', they're from a play Kate did called 'The Millionairess' in 1952, if I'm not mistaking...

Jess yes, jess, as evelien suggests, the pictures that i managed to take here are of kate's stage ensembles for 'the millionairess' ...

The last day of this exhibit is today. I'm going to wander over to it in a short while (fortunately it's a short walk away .. it is COLD today in Manhattan) .... here is a link to the exhibit catalog. Can't recall if I posted it before: www.nypl.org/files/fashion_exhib_brochure_0.pdf
