I really love her early forties hairstyle. You know, the rolled back and pinned bangs and slightly curly thick with volume hair. Just like in Woman of the Year or The Philadelphia Story. Does anyone know how to achieve it? I can never get it quite right and I have thick hair so it should be easy for me to do. I wear my hair/bangs pinned back all of the time like her but the curl never gets to be like hers. Any suggestions or maybe a step by step tutorial?

Although I always liked the thirties circa Morning Glory/Alice Adams a lot as well. Wish I could pull it off. I have the right length hair, but I think its too thin. It never holds curls well, either.

I have the same problem. I've tried to do her hair and I never could.

I have never been able to acheive this look either. I love that 40s hair style as well! I was talking to a hair stylist in a high end salon in Sydney and he said this look was coming back in to fashion. He said it was in all of the latest catwalks, etc. so he is expecting his clients asking how to do it themselves sooner or later. Wish he had the time to tell me how to do it! I'll have to ask next time I chat to him. I've seen that girl's channel before. I'll look through them as well Jess

When I bought my Kate stamps my sister says that my hair does look like the photo on them sort of lol. I'll get it right one day, I just need to be better at pin curls!
I can seem to get a Bette Davis hairstyle because I was at a book fair a few months ago and a newspaper photographer said I looked like Bette Davis on the book I was holding lmao so she took my video and photo. And ironically I was trying to make it look like Kate! haha

I belived that you can use iron hair and hair gel for bouclé.

While I was searching photos for "K. H. in other languages", I met photos like this... I love this hair-style. Kate looks like very young!!! Is there someone?

She does look younger than she is in those photos. I believe that short hair makes you look a lot older, so I'm gonna keep my long hair as long as I can . I absolutely love this hairstyle.
