The transcript The Lion in WinterI could take defeats like yours and laugh. I've done it. If you're broken, it's because you're brittle. I've lost. You won. And I can't ever have you back again. You're all that I have ever loved. Christ, you don't know what nothing is. I want to die. No, you don't.I want to die. I'll hold you.Henry, I want to die. Eleanor. I want to die. Let me hold you.I want to die. You will, you know, someday. Just wait long enough, and it'll happen. So it will. We're in the cellar, you're going back to prison, my life is wasted, we've lost each other, and you're smiling. It's the way I register despair. There's everything in life but hope. We're both alive. And for all I know, that's what hope is.We're jungle creatures, Henry, and the dark is all around us. See them....... in the corners? You can see the eyes. and they can see ours.I'm a match for anything.Aren't you?I should have been a great fool... not to love you. You'll let me out for easter? Come the resurrection, you can strike me down again.Perhaps next time I'll do it. And perhaps you won't.You know, I hope we never die!So do I. You think there's any chance of it?The hole script is here www.script-o-rama.com/movie_scripts/l/lion-in-winter-script-transcript.htmlDid you too see the film and hear their voices as you read those lines ?

I just saw this movie for the first time and... wow, I am completely and utterly impressed. Definitely one of my favourite Kate movies now. She's simply amazing as Eleanor of Aquitaine... and the movie in itself is in my opinion, despite the chronology being a bit off, rather a faithful representation of the relationship of Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine. Goodness, I love this movie. I've been writing a novel on Eleanor of Aquitaine for a while now... and I think that from now on, she'll always be a little like Kate .

You wrote a novel about Alienor d'Aquitaine ? Waooh Is there any possibility to read it ? Because I'm fond of the story of Alienor, I read many book about her, I studied her history, She is a very interesting character and a model of strong nature. Lion in the winter is my favourite movie too, despite of some errors on chronology and facts, these relationship behind closed door are very interesting and thrilling, moreover the music is great too. So I'm totally addicted ;D

Me too, I think it's brilliant, and so is Aliénor. As for the novel, I am still writing it, it's quite difficult with research and all... I've only got the beginning and a few loose scenes here and there, but I'll get there . I'll send some parts to you if you'd like to read them . That said, I think I'll watch Lion in Winter again today .

Books of Régine Pernoud, Jean Flori ( very complete and interesting), and Amaury Chaou (Sur les traces d'aliénor d'Aquitaine) are good, but they are in french (maybe it's not a problem, I think remember you speak french) You can find some informations and bibliography on this website : www.alienor-aquitaine.org/I look forward to read you

Yeah, reading French is no problem... I'll definitely look for the books, maybe my university's library even has one of them ;D. Thanks for the site, too... I'll put some fragments of stuff I've already written to the novel together and send it to you tonight or something . Glad someone else is interested in her .

Kate's performance as Eleanor amazed me when I first saw this. AAAARGH! YAY! My Stevie Nicks bootlegs have downloaded. YAY
um, anyway. Yes, when I saw it I was so amazed. I phoned my friend at work and told her she had to see it. And she did. And she too was amazed.

I'm watching it again now. If there is a K.H. movie on I must watch, it doesn't matter what or when. So many great lines in this one.
