Cool article, Sofia! I wish I had that when I wrote my film studies paper last quarter... It would have been perfect! Wow that's a cool subject!!! Actually my paper has to be more specific (it's for the former graduation, here in Italy we have the Bologna system, with 3+2 years), so I'm writing it about My Fair Lady (stage version and movie version compared)... but I think my next paper will be all about Kath You know what? I also wrote a paper about MFL in high school-- mostly analyzing Pygmalion, but I also compared it with MFL. I love manipulating writing assignments into something film related. Or whatever my current obsessions are. Last quarter I wrote a research paper about Kate for my english class. My professor loved it, and said she's never given an A+ before except for mine. ;D (thanks, Kate!)

I love this movie. I got it as part of The Katharine Hepburn Collection. I really only wanted Dragon Seed, but am extremely glad that I got the whole pack Kate is GORGEOUS with short hair. Every shot they had of her I was just like "Dang. She's amazing even when she looks like a guy". Well, she's gorgeous all the time. Just a question though...on the back of the cover, it said that it was a controversial movie. Why is that? Is it just because she played a man and that really wasn't done a lot back then? Oh well. I adore this movie...just like I've adored every other Kate movie.

I think it was because of the gender confusion. Stuff like that was not done back then. And don't forget the girl on girl kiss. Even though Kate was dressed as a man she was still a woman when she kissed the other actress.
